They say that light cannot exist without darkness, and that fact cannot be expressed any more explicitly than in this stunning piece of artwork by yakiteri on DeviantArt. The attention to detail in the art is astounding, and the contrast between the two princesses is what caught my eye instantly. Zelda is so vibrant and full of life, while Hilda is expressionless and her demeanor is dark and cold. Zelda is wearing the traditional Triforce on her ears, while Hilda is covered with the inverted Triforce. The fact that they both hold the two Triforces together is touching, especially given the events that transpire during A Link Between Worlds. This is a wonderful tribute to a tale of two princesses who are brought together by fate, bound by the will of the Triforce. While Princess Zelda represents the light, Hilda represents the darkness, and neither could exist without the other.

With all that said, I present to you “High and Low” in its entirety, by yakiteri.

This is something I hope is present in the new Zelda Wii U.. I want some real contrasts in the game! Darkness needs to be DARK! ..not just dark!:) ..

The more I look at it, the more details I can spot in the artwork. I have to say the different expressions is what makes this truly amazing, I can’t image how hard it must be for people to draw such beautiful pieces.
