The folks over at Nintendo 3DS Blog received an anonymous tip a few days ago about the games included in the 3DS Ambassador Program, which gave a full list of what games you’ll receive as part of the program. This list happened to include 3 Zelda games:

  • The Legend of Zelda
  • Zelda II
  • Minish Cap

For those of you that don’t know, the Ambassador Program will give 20 free retro games to anyone who visited the Nintendo eShop before August 11th (so if you haven’t done that, sorry, you can’t get these games for free like the ambassadors). You’ll get 10 games on September 1st, and The Legend of Zelda is already a guaranteed title for this set. The other 10 will come some time before 2012, there’s no definite date yet.

WARNING: This is just a rumor, do not take it as fact just yet!

Hit the jump for the list of games!

The games are as follows:

NES (First set)

  • Super Mario Bros.
  • Donkey Kong Jr.
  • Balloon Fight
  • Ice Climber
  • The Legend of Zelda
  • Metroid
  • Super Mario Bros. 2
  • Kid Icarus
  • Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
  • Kirby’s Adventure

GBA (Second set)

  • Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3
  • Mario Kart: Super Circuit
  • Metroid Fusion
  • WarioWare, Inc.: Minigame Mania
  • Mario vs. Donkey Kong
  • Pokemon Emerald
  • The Legend Of Zelda: The Minish Cap
  • Kirby And The Amazing Mirror
  • Super Mario Ball
  • WarioWare Twisted (Up To Date 3DS Motion Controls)

There are a few inconsistancies with this list, for instance:

  • It was strongly hinted that Super Mario Bros. 3 would be on the list, but it’s not there.
  • lack of wireless functionality does have a pretty big impact on Pokemon Emerald.
  • Minish Cap and Pokemon Emerald for free seem too good to be true.
  • A public release for all the NES titles within a single day seems odd.
  • And 3 Zelda titles? Seems a bit much, eh?
What do you think? Will we get all of these titles, along with our three Zelda ones? Tell us in the comments!
