Chapter 4: Windfall Island to Dragon Roost Island

Windfall Island
Upon waking up you meet the King of Red Lions, who saved you and brought you to Windfall Island. After explaining who is responsible for kidnapping your sister, he agrees to help you rescue her.
You need to buy a Sail in order to leave Windfall Island. Zunari – the merchant in a hoodie coat – will sell you one for 80 Rupees. If you don’t have enough money, smash some of the pots lying around outside.
Return to the King of Red Lions and equip the Sail. Sail eastward until you reach Dragon Roost Island.
Dragon Roost Island
Once you have arrived at Dragon Roost Island, the King of Red Lions gives you the Wind Waker.
There is a shrine at the other end of the tunnel nearby. Use the Wind Waker next to the shrine and follow the prompts to play the Wind’s Requiem. This song allows you to change the direction of the wind.
To progress on the island, pick one of the Bomb Flowers and throw it at the boulder obstructing the path.
Follow the path alongside the pond. Pick the fruit from the next Bomb Flower and destroy the boulder on the right.
Head toward the broken bridge. Pick the next Bomb Flower and throw it onto the ledge above to destroy the boulder.
Slide along the ledge above the broken bridge. Drop down next to the Bomb Flower. Place a Bomb Fruit by the small boulder with blocks on top of it. The explosion will clear the path to the Rito village.
Head through the archway and talk to the Rito postman, Quill. Then go inside the cave at the end of the walkway.
After a conversation with the Rito chieftain, Quill will give you a Delivery Bag.
Go up the ramp and through the first door on the left to find a Rito called Medli. Talk to her to receive the Father’s Letter, intended for Prince Komali. Go back to the ground floor and enter the room at the back. Show Prince Komali the letter from his father and you will learn a bit more about the crisis on the island. He will not, however, give you Din’s Pearl.
Leave Komali’s room and take the last of the doors on the ground floor. Drop down into the dried-up spring and talk to Medli. Help Medli to reach the high ledge by picking her up and throwing her. Wait for the wind to blow in the right direction, or change it with the Wind’s Requiem. As thanks, Medli gives you an Empty Bottle.
Fill your Empty Bottle from the pool of water around the boulder.
Climb out of the spring and pour some water on a wilted Bomb Flower. Pick a Bomb Fruit and throw it at the boulder, without it falling in the water. Waiting longer before throwing the Bomb can make this easier. The spring will fill with water again.
Swim to the other side of the spring and climb out. Pick a Bomb Flower and throw the fruit into the hands of the statue nearby. If you are successful this will knock the statue over and create a platform in the lava. Repeat this with the second statue to reach the entrance to Dragon Roost Cavern.
