The Wind Waker

Chapter 18: Triforce Shard 3: Bird’s Peak Rock

by on January 15, 2021

Buy some Hyoi Pears from Beedle’s Shop Ship. One may be enough, but it helps to have a backup. If, somehow, you don’t already have the prerequisite Bait Bag, you can purchase that from Beedle as well.

Sail to Bird’s Peak Rock, one square northeast of the Forest Haven. Stand on the main island and take out a Hyoi Pear. This will allow you to take control of a seagull.

There are six switches on the peaks, obscured from view by the Kargaroc nests. Hit all of the switches with the seagull’s beak to open the door on the island.

The Kargaroc make this harder than it might otherwise have been. If you’re feeling confident in your shooting, some of them can be eliminated from a distance. If you’re really having trouble, use a seagull to lure the bird monsters closer so you can fight them.

Enter the cave and play the Wind’s Requiem on the wind mosaic to make the Treasure Chest appear. Take the Triforce Chart and grab as much treasure as you can carry.

Take the Triforce Chart to Tingle Island to get it deciphered for 398 Rupees (see chapter 16 for more details). The Triforce Shard is hidden beneath the waves near Stone Watcher Island, which incidentally is another stop-off on the Triforce Hunt.
