Chapter 10: The Master Sword

Enter the castle. Walk down the staircase to the triangular blocks on the floor below. Grab a block near to one of the points and push or pull it to pivot the stone around one of the other points. Once you have the hang of it, move the blocks into the Triforce shape marked on the floor. This will open the secret door to the basement.

Enter the basement and draw the Master Sword from its pedestal. Time will unfreeze and the monsters in the main hall will start moving again.

Defeat all of the monsters in the castle to disable the magic barriers blocking the doors. There are many Darknuts and Moblins patrolling the upper balcony, the grand staircase and the lower floor.

These Darknuts carry shields for extra protection, making them harder to hit without Parry Attacks. Make sure to take the Knight’s Crests that they leave behind!

The Master Sword deals twice the damage of your Hero’s Sword, which makes this battle easier than it would otherwise have been. You can still end up fighting a large number of enemies at once though. Keep your guard up and watch for an opening in your enemies’ defenses. Remember that they’ll do more damage to each other when fighting in close quarters.

Once you can go outside again, get in the King of Red Lions and sail into the ring of light. You will return to the surface outside the Tower of the Gods. At long last you can confront Ganon in the Forsaken Fortress.
