Tadarok Shrine: ‘Fire and Water’
Shrine Location
Tadarok Shrine is located inside the River of the Dead Waterfall Cave on the Great Plateau. The cave is behind the waterfall on the River of the Dead.
Make water safe to swim across
First, use Ultrahand to remove the two metal orbs from the water. They are attached to electric sources that make the water dangerous to swim in. Lift the metal orbs out of the water and push them away to make the water safe. Then, swim across the water to reach the main area.
Retrieve the Ice Block
You need three blocks to reach the end of the shrine. The first block, the Metal Block, is straight ahead inside another pool of electric water. You cannot make this water safe to swim in. Use Ultrahand to pick up the Metal Block and carry it to the left side of the room.
The Ice Block is on the left side of the room, but it falls directly into fire and is destroyed before respawning. Place the Metal Block against the fire to block it from melting the Ice Block. It may take a few tries; you need the Ice Block to be completely unmelted.
With the fire blocked, pick up the Ice Block and carry it away from the flames. Set it aside for now.
Retrieve the Wood Block
Making sure the Ice Block is still out of the way, pick up the Metal Block again and move it to the right side of the room. There is lava blocking the path here. Place the Metal Block in the lava, then use Ultrahand to push and pull the Metal Block. Doing this creates a path that Recall can replicate. Jump on top of the Metal Block and use Recall to ride the Metal Block across the lava.
On the other side of the lava is a Wood Block that is being destroyed by fire. When a new Wood Block spawns, quickly grab it with Ultrahand and drop it in the water to the left. This will put out the flames and prevent the Wood Block from burning up.
Pick up the Wood Block and use Ultrahand to safely carry it over the lava and back into the main area. Then, use Ultrahand and Recall again to ride the Metal Block back across the lava.
Combine all three blocks to reach the Blessing of Light
Pick up the Metal Block, the Wood Block, and the Ice Block, and bring them all back to the electrified water where you first found the Metal Block.
- Place the Wood Block in the electrified water. Center it below the platform above the water.
- Place the Metal Block on the left side of the raised platform to block the fire.
- Place the Ice Block on the same platform as the Metal Block. Leave enough space for you to stand between the Metal Block and Ice Block.
After all the blocks are in place, jump onto the Wood Block and quickly use Ascend to reach the raised platform above you. If you do not move quickly enough, the Wood Block may tilt from your weight and drop you into the electrified water.
When you reach the raised platform, climb the Ice Block and then jump on top of the Metal Block.
While standing on the Metal Block, use Ultrahand to raise and lower the Ice Block. Then, jump back on top of the Ice Block and use Recall on it to raise yourself up to the final platform.
