Earning Pony Points for rewards at Horse Stables

by on May 13, 2023

When you reach the surface of Hyrule Kingdom, you will find wild horses. If you manage to tame one, ride them to any Stable and speak with the clerk at the front of the counter to register the horse and make it available to use any time

On your first visit, the stable clerk will introduce the Pony Point System. You can redeem these points for rewards. The stable clerk will give you two points when you register your first horse. There is usually a fee for registering, but the first horse is free.

If you have save data from Breath of the Wild, the same horses you’ve registered will be available for you to board again in Tears of the Kingdom.

How to earn Pony Points

As soon as you register a horse, you’ll be given a Pony Points Card which will be saved in the Key Items menu. Over time, when you collect Pony Points, you can redeem them for rewards. Interact with the Pony Points Ledger book that’s placed inside the stable. You can either read the ledger or receive points from the stable staff members.

Conditions for acquiring Pony Points

  • Registering horses (2 points for the first time)
  • Resting at an inn (1 point for a regular bed)
  • Visiting a stable for the first time (talk to the clerk at the front counter; 1 point)
  • Help fix the mini-stable at Lookout Landing (available after saving Rito Village; 1 point)

You may also receive Pony Points as rewards for completing other tasks. Visit the Wetlands Stable to pick up a side quest that rewards 2 points.
