Temple of the Ocean King V

Sail back to Mercay Island and return to the Temple of the Ocean King. From here you can either retrace through the first 7 floors to aim for a better time and obtain some treasure. Or you may step on the yellow portal at the temple entrance to be warped to floor B7.

Basement 7

Once you have warped through the portal walk down the stairs to enter floor B7. From here ride the platforms to the northern portion of this floor and step on the safe zone. Once you are on this zone use your Grappling Hook on the treasure chest to your east to get across. Open the chest and carry the Round Crystal to the staircase at the southeast portion of this floor. Walk down the staircase to floor B8.

Basement 8

From the stairs walk northward until you reach the crystal switch located on the other side of the wall. Take out your Bombchus and trace a path through the open hole in the wall, aiming for the crystal switch on the other side. The door to your north will open. Grab the Round Crystal and walk down the stairs to floor B9.

Basement 9

Walk the Round Crystal towards the large safe zone at the northern part of the floor. Once you’ve done this you will need to obtain the Square Crystal that the nearby Phantom is holding. The best way to do this is to strike the Phantom from behind using your Bow. This will stun the enemy which will give you time to grab the Square Crystal and walk it to the pedestal located at the northwest corner of the floor.

Place the Square Crystal on its pedestal to cause nearby flames to extinguish. Run over and open the treasure chest to obtain the Triangle Crystal.

Walk all three crystals back to the large safe zone. You will now want to place the crystals in the following order:

1. Square Crystal
2. Round Crystal
3. Triangle Crystal

Enter the door that opened to trigger an earthquake. Walk back through the door and you will have been lowered to floor B10.

Basement 10

This floor introduces a new enemy, the Gold Phantom. This type of Phantom will teleport to you if you are spotted by either another Phantom or Phantom Eye.

While still in the safe zone use your Bombchus to take out a few of the Phantom Eyes in the center part of the floor. Once you’ve done this also trace a path into the hole in the wall and towards the crystal switch on the right side. Hitting this switch will cause some nearby spikes to be lowered.

Now that you have lowered some spikes you will need to kill the Gold Phantom that is carrying a small key. Make your way to either the northeast or northwest corner of the room where safe zones are located. You need to push the bolder over the edge to crush the Gold Phantom that is holding the small key. Make sure to time it correctly and only push the bolder over the edge when the Gold Phantom is in the way.

Once you’ve crushed the enemy grab the small key and carefully make your way to the safe zone at the southern portion of the floor. Here you will notice a section of the wall that can be bombed. Bomb the wall and make your way through towards the locked door in the center. Unlock the door and head down to floor B11.

Basement 11

Upon entering the floor attempt to defeat as many Phantom Eyes as you can. This will make traversing the floor a lot easier. Carefully make your way to the northeast and northwest corners of the floor where you need to pull two red levers. Pulling these will cause bridges to appear.

Grab your Shovel and dig up the soil spot located near the platforms at the northern portion of the room. Ride the wind geyser up and step on the two switches located on these platforms.

Now make your way to the southern portion of the floor. Here you will see a crystal switch as well as another soil spot to dig up. Dig up the soil spot, and ride the wind geyser up a level and run over the bridge to the east and step on the switch. From here you can use a Bombchu to hit the crystal switch to your right. After hitting the switch immediately run to your west and cross the bridge that appeared. Note: If you are not quick enough the bridge will disappear. Step on the switch and a door will open at the western portion of the floor. Enter the western door and walk down to floor B12.

Basement 12

Walk to the left and pull the red lever which will lower the spikes to your south. Lure the Golden Phantom towards the entrance to this floor. Standing at a safe distance strike it from behind with your Bow to make it drop a Force Gem.

Carry this Force Gem to the large safe zone at the northern portion of the floor. Once you’ve dropped this off open the chest located in the small safe zone along the north wall. You will obtain another Force Gem. Strike the Phantom that appears with your Bow to stun it and make your way to the large safe zone from before.

Once you have dropped off the two Force Gems run southeast to loop around and enter the northeast portion of the floor. Similar to the last Force Gem you will find another safe zone containing a treasure chest along the northern wall. Open it to receive the final Force Gem of this area. Return it to the large safe zone and make your way through the newly opened door to floor B13.

Basement 13

Walk down the stairs and open the large treasure chest to obtain the Northeastern Sea Chart! Step on the blue portal to be warped outside of the temple. From here you will want to make your way to the Northeast Sea.
