1 How to get all 64 rings

In order to get all 64 rings, you have to beat both games twice, always using linking secrets between the games.

Across Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, there are 64 Rings in total. Obtaining every single one of them can be quite the feat! In order to collect every single one of them, you will need to play each game twice (once in each order) and connect your two playthroughs through the Hero’s Secret. In other words, if you start playing Oracle of Seasons, you will need to:

  1. Finish Oracle of Seasons to get a linked game password,
  2. Start a linked game of Oracle of Ages using the linked game password,
  3. Transfer your rings from Oracle of Seasons to Oracle of Ages,
  4. Finish Oracle of Ages to get the Hero’s Secret password,
  5. Start a new game of Oracle of Ages with the Hero’s Secret password,
  6. Transfer your rings from your previous Ages playthrough to your current playthrough,
  7. Finish Oracle of Ages to get a linked game password,
  8. Start a linked game of Oracle of Seasons using the linked game password,
  9. Transfer your rings from Oracle of Ages to Oracle of Seasons, and then
  10. Collect the last rings as you finish up Oracle of Seasons.

To transfer rings from one game to the next, you have two real choices, and both of them can be found at Vasu’s shop.

  1. If you talk to the red snake at Vasu’s shop, he will both give and accept 15-character Ring Secret passwords. In the game that you wish to transfer rings from, acquire the Ring Secret password and then write it down. Turn the game off, and then go to the game you want to transfer rings to. Give the Ring Secret password to the red snake here, and every ring you had in the source game will be copied to the destination game.
  2. If you have physical Game Boy Color cartridges of Seasons and Ages and are playing on a GBC or Game Boy Advance, you can use a link cable to transfer rings sans password. Talk to the blue snake in each game, and follow the instructions provided. The rings from the source game will be copied to the destination game.

2 Rings exclusive to Oracle of Ages

The following rings cannot be acquired in Oracle of Seasons and thus must be acquired in Oracle of Ages. In order to figure out how to collect these rings and what they do, please see our Oracle of Ages guide.

  • #5: Armor Ring L-1
  • #7: Armor Ring L-3
  • #9: Blue Ring
  • #15: GBA Time Ring
  • #18: Pegasus Ring
  • #24: Light Ring L-1
  • #25: Light Ring L-2
  • #26: Bomber’s Ring
  • #29: Gold Luck Ring
  • #39: Gold Joy Ring

3 Rings acquired via a Linked Game

There are also two rings that, while they are only able to be acquired in Oracle of Ages, require you to first get a password from a Linked Game of Oracle of Seasons to acquire them. In short, you will need to beat Oracle of Ages, continue the game via password with Oracle of Seasons, and then meet someone in Holodrum that will give you a password so that you can physically acquire the ring back in Oracle of Ages’ Labrynna. In order to then retain this ring, you’ll need to use Vasu to transfer this ring back to your current game of Oracle of Seasons.

#34 Snowshoe Ring

Found: Floodgate Keeper’s House in Holodrum, Lynna City in Labrynna
Requirements: Playing a Linked Game, Poison Moth’s Lair completed
Description: No sliding on ice

After you beat the third dungeon in Oracle of Seasons, you’ll have to head back east. On the way, stop in at the Floodgate Keeper’s house as you pass by. In a Linked Game, you’ll discover that there’s a new woman that’s residing in the Keeper’s house. This is the mother of Mamamu Yan, the dog owner in Labrynna. She’s got an important secret that you need to convey across the ocean to her daughter in Labrynna. Write down the secret, and then save your game.

Back in Oracle of Ages, you’ll need to head to the southwestern corner of Lynna City in the present-day age. Speak to Mamamu Yan there, and she’ll tell you that her dog is missing. If you can find it and bring it back to her, she’ll reward you greatly. Of course, she doesn’t know where her dog is, just that it’s somewhere around Lynna City. To find the dog, first search everywhere in the city. If you have no luck, start checking the outskirts of the city to the east and south. It might take a while to find the dog, and where it pops up is completely random. Worse yet, if you find the dog and then accidentally leave the screen, the dog will run off somewhere else. Once you do find it, pick it up using the Power Glove. You’ll immediately be sent back to Mamamu Yan’s house, and she’ll give you the ring.

To get this ring back to Holodrum, you’ll need to visit Vasu in Oracle of Ages to get a ring secret. Then visit Vasu in Horon Village to pick up your ring.

#48 Spin Ring

You’ll find this Subrosian where you found the Bomb Flower.

Found: Subrosian Lava Lake in Holodrum, Lynna City in Labrynna
Requirements: Playing a Linked Game, Dancing Dragon Dungeon completed
Description: Double Spin Attack

After you beat the fifth dungeon in Oracle of Seasons in a linked game, head back to Eyeglass Lake and re-enter the portal to Subrosia. This conveniently drops you back off in the southeast of the map where you want to be. You’ll want to head south several screens as if you were heading to go pick up another Bomb Flower. In fact, right where the Bomb Flower used to be, you’ll find a golden Subrosian. That Subrosian, should you talk to it, will wax philosophical about how much it loves Mayor Plen in Labrynna. It will ask you to go thank him on its behalf, giving you an encoded secret message.

In Oracle of Ages, head to Lynna City in the present. Just northwest from the shop — right in the middle of town — you’ll find the red-roofed house of Mayor Plen. Tell Mayor Plen the five-character password from the Subrosian, and he will thank you for the kind message. In thanks, he will give you the Spin Ring.

To get this ring back to Holodrum, you’ll need to visit Vasu in Oracle of Ages to get a ring secret. Then go and tell that secret to Vasu’s snake in Horon Village.

4 Rings only acquired through luck

Only a handful of Rings in Oracle of Seasons (and Oracle of Ages, for that matter) are acquired by completing specific obstacles or opening specific chests. This leaves a good many rings that, unfortunately, can only be acquired through random chance and a lot of luck. Encounters with Maple, opening up the prize in a Gasha Fruit, or various mini-games can all give you rings, though not only can they give you duplicates, certain places seem to only give rings of a very specific range of rarities. As a result, if you’re missing a very particular ring, it helps to know exactly the best way to get it.

Several of the rings that can only be randomly acquired in Oracle of Seasons can be acquired in specific locations in Oracle of Ages. It’s always best to pick up those rings in that game, but for the sake of completion, we’ll list them here as well:

Ring Effect Rarity
#3: Power Ring L-2 Sword Damage ++, Damage Taken ++ ♦♦♦
#19: Toss Ring Throwing Distance + ♦♦
#28: Blue Luck Ring 1/2 damage from beams
#30: Red Luck Ring 1/2 damage from spiked floors ♦♦
#32: Blue Holy Ring No damage from Zora’s fire
#33: Red Holy Ring No damage from small rocks
#45: Like Like Ring Become a Like Like
#49: Bombproof Ring No damage from your bombs ♦♦♦♦
#63: Whimsical Ring Sword damage -, sometimes deadly ♦♦♦
#64: Protection Ring Damage taken is always one heart ♦♦♦

And then, rings that can only be acquired randomly in both Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages:

Ring Effect Rarity
#10: Green Ring Sword damage +, Damage taken – ♦♦♦♦♦
#11: Cursed Ring 1/2 Sword Damage, Damage Taken x2
#12: Expert’s Ring Punch when not equipped ♦♦♦♦
#16: Maple’s Ring Maple meetings + ♦♦
#21: Heart Ring L-2 Recover lost hearts ♦♦♦
#23: Charge Ring Spin Attack charges quickly ♦♦♦♦
#31: Green Holy Ring No damage from electricity
#35: Roc’s Ring Cracked floors don’t crumble ♦♦
#37: Red Joy Ring Beasts drop double rupees ♦♦♦
#42: Rang Ring L-2 Boomerang damage ++ ♦♦♦♦♦
#47: First Gen Ring Become something? ♦♦♦♦
#50: Energy Ring Beam replaces Spin Attack ♦♦♦♦
#51: Double Edge Ring Sword damage +, but you get hurt ♦♦♦♦
#58: Whisp Ring No effect from jinxes ♦♦
#59: Gasha Ring Grow great Gasha Trees ♦♦♦
#60: Peace Ring No explosion if holding bomb ♦♦♦
#61: Zora Ring Dive without breathing ♦♦
#62: Fist Ring Punch when not equipped ♦♦

In order to acquire the two rarest classes of rings (four and five stars), you will have to get them through Gasha Fruits. More specifically, you will have to acquire them from Gasha Fruits grown in very specific locations. Those locations are:

  • Eyeglass Lake, one screen to the west of Unicorn’s Cave (rarities 2-4)
  • Goron Mountain Base near Temple Remains, three screens south of the Biggoron (rarities 3-5)
  • Mt. Cucco, near the Flying Rooster, one screen east of the Subrosian portal (rarities 2-4)
  • Tarm Ruins, one screen southeast of the tree stump (rarities 3-5)

Every other source in the game — Maple, mini-games, and every other Gasha Tree location — only produces rings between rarities 1-3. And even then, the chances that you’ll receive a ring instead of some other prize is completely up for grabs, so definitely save your Gasha Seeds for the right trees, and try to draw them out over your playthrough of both games.

5 Rings found in specific locations

And now, here is the list of rings that you can acquire in Oracle of Seasons by performing specific actions. Do note that some of these rings can be acquired randomly through Gasha Seeds, Maple, or other mechanisms as well.

#1 Friendship Ring

Vasu will give you this ring at the beginning of a normal game.

Found: Vasu, Horon Village
Requirements: None
Description: Symbol of a meeting

There’s a Ring Shop found near the center of Horon Village at the beginning of the game. Go inside and talk to him. He will grant you the Friendship Ring after granting you the L-1 Ring Box. The ring doesn’t do anything, but you’ll collect it automatically with the capacity to acquire rings.

#2 Power Ring L-1

Found: Explorer’s Crypt
Requirements: Returned the Captain’s Bell to the pirate captain
Description: Sword damage +, Damage taken +

The L-1 Power Ring is just inside the Explorer’s Crypt, though you won’t be able to access it just off the bat. After you obtain the first key, you’ll return to the dungeon’s second room so that you can unlock the door heading to the east. In there, you’ll encounter a collective of Shrouded Stalfos and Sword Stalfos. If you kill all of the enemies, a chest will appear to the far right side of the room. Opening it will grant you this ring.

#4 Power Ring L-3

Found: Linked Game, Hero’s Cave
Requirements: Ember Seeds, Power Bracelet, Zora’s Flippers, Bombs, Magnetic Gloves, Magical Boomerang, Roc’s Cape
Description: Sword damage +++, Damage taken +++

In a Linked Game, the Hero’s Cave — the opening mini-dungeon where you would normally find the L-1 Sword — is replaced with a much more difficult dungeon. In order to get the Power Ring L-3, you must finish all 20 rooms of the dungeon. See our guide covering the Hero’s Cave in order to get this ring.

#6 Armor Ring L-2

You’ll find this ring on the upper floor of the Goron city.

Found: Goron Mountain, on the second floor of Goron Cavern
Requirements: Roc’s Cape
Description: Sword damage –, Damage taken —

After you’ve obtained the Roc’s Cape, make the long journey either from the Sunken City or some Subrosian Portal back up the Mt. Cucco. From there, head all the way to the west that you can. Once there, you can enter the Goron tribe’s cavern home. On the first floor, head to the northwest corner of the room to access the staircase up to the second floor.

This room will feel more at home for Gorons given the sudden appearance of lava. There’s a hidden chest in the far northeast corner of the room. To get there, use Roc’s Cape to jump over the river of lava. Drop a Bomb on the free 1×1 tile of the island, and then jump out of there. Once the Bomb explodes, fly back there and open the chest to retrieve the ring.

#8 Red Ring

Found: North Horon, in a cave beneath the water just south of Gnarled Root Dungeon
Requirements: Roc’s Cape
Description: Sword damage x2

The Red Ring has probably the most involved process to obtain it. In order to collect the Red Ring, you need to go on a full-fledged quest to obtain it.

To start the quest, head to North Horon. Two screens to the east of Gnarled Root Dungeon, there’s a tree stump. Hop on top of it and change the season to summer. Once done, head two screens west, cutting down the bushes along the way, to Gnarled Root Dungeon. Take the steps to the south to discover that part of the lake has dried up, exposing a secret cave beneath the water. Enter inside and talk to the golden-garbed man. He’ll set you on a quest to destroy the four golden beasts across Holodrum. Do so, and he’ll give you a prize.

You can defeat these enemies in any order you wish. However, each of them, easy as they might seem, will require many more hits than their normal red and blue counterparts. Some of them are still shockingly easy; others will require a bit more strategy. Furthermore, each of these enemies will only appear in a particular season; you’ll not only have to find them, but you’ll have to find them at the right time of year.

  • Golden Darknut (Spring): Warp to Horon Village and exit to the west into the Western Coast. The only tree stump in the abandoned house near the pirate ship. Head there and change the season to spring. Then come back east, crossing the pirate ship, to Hero’s Cave. One screen to the east of Hero’s Cave is where the Golden Darknut lives.
  • Golden Octorok (Summer): Warp to Spool Swamp. The only tree stump in this area is far to the north, just south of Poison Moth’s Lair. Return there and change the season to summer. You can find the Golden Octorok in the far southwest corner of Spool Swamp, just south of the Subrosian portal.
  • Golden Moblin (Autumn): Warp to the Woods of Winter. Head north and climb the vines (provided it is summer; otherwise, you’ll need to head through Snake’s Remains) and use the tree stump to change the season to autumn. Hop down and head west; you’ll find the Golden Moblin just outside the Snake’s Remains dungeon.
  • Golden Lynel (Winter): Warp to Spool Swamp, and then head east and north. Pass the Tarm Ruins gate, and use the next tree stump to change the season to winter. Head west and north to arrive at another tree stump; then head east. You’ll find the Golden Lynel there.

Once you’ve destroyed all four golden beasts, return to the cave beneath the waves near Gnarled Root Dungeon and talk to the golden-garbed old man. He’ll give you the Red Ring.

#13 Blast Ring

Found: Western Coast near the pirate ship
Requirements: Returned the Captain’s Bell to the captain
Description: Bomb damage +

After the sixth dungeon, the first major objective will be obtaining the Captain’s Bell. After obtaining it, polishing it, and returning it to the captain, his ship will set sail in the morning, eventually coming to dock at the small inlet between the Graveyard to the west and Hero’s Cave to the east.

Once this ship docks, decks will extend out to the west and east, connecting the landmass. From the captain’s ship, take the western plank and then immediately head north. There, turn east, and you’ll find a treasure chest just on the other side of the ship containing the Blast Ring.

#14 Rang Ring L-1

Found: Southeast corner of Samasa Desert
Requirements: Finished the Ancient Ruins
Description: Boomerang damage +

The first level of the Rang Ring is found in the very southeast corner of the overworld. In order to access the Samasa Desert, you’ll need to complete the sixth dungeon and opened it up using the pirate’s secret code.

Once past the gate to the Samasa Desert, head one screen east and one screen south, taking you to one of the corners of the desert. There will be a single pool of quicksand here along the southern edge of the screen. Fall down it, and you’ll enter a cave with a 1×1 tile of deep water. That should be your signal to swim in it and dive. You’ll enter a water-filled side-scrolling area with a school of Cheep-cheeps. Swim through the area, and then ascend the steps at the other end. This will take you next to the chest with the ring.

#17 Steadfast Ring

After you get the Hyper Slingshot in Level Eight, return to the entrance.

Found: Sword & Shield Maze
Requirements: Hyper Slingshot
Description: Get knocked back less

Once you have the Hyper Slingshot from the Sword & Shield Maze, return to the beginning of the dungeon, preferably just after you’ve beaten the mini-boss Frypolar. Head to the north, and you’ll encounter a room full of Wizzrobes. There are two passages northward: one through the main entrance in the center of the room and one via the raised walkway on the right side of the room. You’ll want to head north via the raised walkway.

In order to get the treasure chest to appear, you will use the Hyper Slingshot to fire a Mystical Seed of any type into all three statues at the same time. In order to do this, you will need to be three to four paces to the right of the center statue of the trio. Fire the Hyper Slingshot — preferably with a seed you don’t use often — to the statues. Once they all hit, the treasure chest containing this ring will appear.

#27 Green Luck Ring

Found: Subrosian Treasure Grove in southwest Subrosia
Requirements: Roc’s Feather
Description: No damage from electricity

Remember that time that some Subrosians stole your Roc’s Feather, and you had to chase them around several screens, staying out of sight while they danced around, making sure you weren’t following them? Well, it turns out they have an infinite number of treasures for you to find.

Return to southwest Subrosia and enter the house where the Subrosian twins returned to after stealing your Feather. Just like before, follow them around the subterranean grove, never being seen. If you manage to complete the feat without being caught, you’ll be awarded… something!

That something might be Ore Chunks, or it could be any number of prizes. There are a handful of rings that are in the prize pool for you to earn, and the Green Holy Ring is one of the rings available. Because of the randomness of this minigame, it may be worth waiting until Oracle of Ages to pick up this ring.

#36 Quicksand Ring

Found: North Horon, just north of the Gnarled Root Dungeon
Requirements: Rod of Seasons with the power of autumn
Description: No sinking in quicksand

To start, head to the west side of North Horon. There you’ll find two notable landmarks: the house containing Mrs. Ruul, where you traded the Ghastly Doll for the Iron Pot, as well as the cliff that Ricky jumped up the first time in order to access Spool Swamp.

Go to the tree stump at the base of that cliff, and change the season to autumn. Head back south to Mrs. Ruul’s house, head one screen east, and then take the steps at the southern edge of the screen down. Once you reach the water’s edge, hop in.

To get to the cave with the Quicksand Ring, swim east once, north three times, and then east once more. Do not make the second eastward transition until you’ve swum northward three times or else the season will immediately revert to winter. You should see two rock mushrooms ready to be picked. Lift them up and dispose of them; then swim into the narrow channel, entering the cave at the end of it.

Inside will be a host of Goponga Flowers. Carefully swim around them and their fireballs as you navigate the coral maze. Head east, climb out onto dry land, and return west. The chest with the ring is in plain sight.

#38 Blue Joy Ring

In a linked game, you’ll have to save Zelda after Level Two.

Found: Linked Game, Zelda
Requirements: Complete Snake’s Remains in a Linked Game
Description: Beasts drop double hearts

After you finish the second dungeon in a Linked Game, once you strike out northward from Horon Village, Impa will come speak you to, begging you to save Zelda. She’s been accosted by the Great Moblin, and she’s in dire need of help.

Proceed northward, using your Power Bracelet to pick up the rock that is in the way. Once you go north, you’ll find the Great Moblin attempting to kidnap Zelda. You’ll have the chance to save her by beating up his four Moblin thugs. If you’re successful, Zelda will be saved, and she will give you the Blue Joy Ring.

#40 Green Joy Ring

Next to the Spring Bananas is this extra cave.

Found: Mt. Cucco near the Spring Banana
Requirements: Rod of Seasons with the power of spring
Description: Find double Ore Chunks

The Green Joy Ring can be found in the far northeast of Holodrum. To get it, you’ll need the help of a blue rooster to lift you high enough to gain access.

Towards the eastern area of Mt. Cucco, you’ll come across a screen that holds both a portal to Subrosia as well as a tree stump. This screen is just to the east of a Piece of Heart and just southeast of the Dancing Dragon Dungeon. Stand upon the tree stump, and change the season to springtime.

Once you do so, head east, and cut through the rock flowers that have blossomed for the season. Maneuver through them and then head one screen north to meet a blue rooster. Pick it up with the Power Glove, and repeatedly press the button to force it to fly higher and higher. If you get high enough, you’ll land on a platform just south of where the Spring Bananas for Moosh are (if you don’t have Moosh’s Flute, that is). Fall down the first gap in the cliff, and enter the cavern inside.

You need to hit the switch to drop the ring, meaning you’ll have to get back on the fast-moving platform.

Getting to this ring is a little tricky and requires expert timing. There are a handful of Keese in the room, and you should kill them at any opportunity you get as they’ll only ruin good timing if they get in the way. Your goal is to stand on the moving platform and sneak your way into each of the two alcoves in the center island to get the ring.

Stand on the moving platform, and wait for it to move. Once it does, it will move extremely quickly. Equipping Roc’s Feather can be a boon here as jumping off the platform will stop momentum caused by the moving platform. Anticipate your jump off of the platform by first getting into the western alcove. Step on the button to make the chest appear. Then get back upon the moving platform, getting ready to enter the eastern alcove to get the key.

#41 Discovery Ring

Found: Gnarled Root Dungeon
Requirements: Seed Satchel, Ember Seeds
Description: Sense soft earth nearby

After you get the Seed Satchel with the Ember Seeds, you’ll eventually return towards the four-way intersection one room north from the beginning of the dungeon. Head east from this room, and use the Ember Seeds you acquired to light the torches on either side of the northern door. In the next room, you can find a treasure chest on the western side of the room. It will contain the Discovery Ring. This ring will play a sound whenever you enter an overworld tile that has a patch of soft soil in which you can plant a Gasha Seed.

#42 Octo Ring

Start near Mrs. Ruul’s house.

Found: Holodrum Plains, just south of Mrs. Ruul’s Villa
Requirements: Zora’s Flippers
Description: Become an Octorok

After you have Zora’s Flippers from the Sunken City, head back to the Holodrum Plains. Just south of Mrs. Ruul’s Villa where you exchange the Ghastly Doll for an Iron Pot, head east one screen and then south down the steps. You’ll find a small little landmass right up against the water. Dive into the water, and then swim back to the west. On the next screen you’ll find a cavern, and you should head in.

Inside you’ll find a lone treasure chest in some shallow water. Swim to it and open it up to get the Octo Ring. This ring won’t be all that helpful, but Octoroks should leave you alone whilst you’re wearing it.

#44 Moblin Ring

Found: The Woods of Winter, just east of Snake’s Remains
Requirements: Rod of Seasons with the power of autumn
Description: Become a Moblin

After you’ve visited the Spirit of Autumn in the Temple of Seasons, return to the teleportation tree just outside the Snake’s Remains in the middle of the Woods of Winter. Head north one screen, and you’ll see a tree stump high atop a cliff. Since the default season is summer during the normal course of the game, you can climb up the vines to reach the tree stump; however, if you’ve beaten Oracle of Seasons, you’ll need to play through the first part of Snake’s Remains to climb the cliff.

Change the season to autumn, and hop down the cliff. You can then pick the mushrooms on this screen, finally allowing you access to the cave you couldn’t access the first time you were here. Inside, all you need is the Magnetic Gloves to pull you across to the chest. This ring won’t be all that helpful to you, though Moblins should leave you alone whilst you’re wearing it.

#46 Subrosian Ring

Found: Mt. Cucco near Dancing Dragon Dungeon
Requirements: Rod of Seasons with the power of spring, Megaphone
Description: Become a Subrosian

You’ll find this in the natural course of completing the trading quest. In fact, you can only acquire this ring by progressing the trading quest far enough. Once you’ve obtained the Megaphone from the man and his cat just north of Horon Village, head back to Mt. Cucco. With the power of spring, hop up on the tree stump towards the eastern side and turn the season to spring.

Towards the western part of Mt. Cucco, you’ll find a flower that will allow you to hop up to an upper ledge. Head north, and then enter the first cavern you see. Therein you’ll find Talon. You can use the Megaphone to wake you up (and naturally get the Mushroom in exchange). Once you’ve made this trade, Talon will leave, allowing you to access the narrow passageway at the top of the room. This will lead to a chest containing the Subrosian Ring. Like most transformation rings, this isn’t particularly useful, but it does help complete the collection.

#52 GBA Nature Ring

Found: Advance Shop in Horon Village
Requirements: 100 Rupees, playing on a Game Boy Advance
Description: Life Advanced!

In the northwest corner of Horon Village is a duplex house. If you’re playing Oracle of Seasons on a Game Boy Advance, the door on the east side will be open. Head inside, and you’ll find the special Advance Shop. The ring in the center of the three items is the GBA Nature Ring, though it’ll just be listed as the Advance Ring. Purchase it for 100 Rupees. Unfortunately, this shop will remain permanently closed if you’re playing the game on any other system. However, this ring doesn’t do anything other than complete your collection.

#53 Slayer’s Ring

Found: Vasu, Horon Village
Requirements: Kill 1,000 enemies within a single playthrough
Description: 1000 beasts slain

Within a single playthrough of Oracle of Seasons or Oracle of Ages, if you manage to kill a total of 1,000 enemies, the next time you talk with Vasu, he will give you the Slayer’s Ring. This ring doesn’t do anything but instead is a commemoration of you having laid waste to all of Ganon’s minions.

#54 Rupee Ring

Found: Vasu, Horon Village
Requirements: 10,000 Rupees collected within a single playthrough
Description: 10,000 Rupees collected

Within a single playthrough of Oracle of Seasons or Oracle of Ages, if you manage to collect 10,000 Rupees, the next time you talk with Vasu, he will give you the Rupee Ring. Rupees collected will count towards this total even if you have the maximum number of Rupees and can’t hold them all, and collecting double Rupees via the Red or Gold Joy Rings will also count. This ring doesn’t do anything but instead is a commemoration of you having collected a lot of cash.

#55 Victory Ring

Found: Your inventory at the beginning of Hero’s Secret game
Requirements: Defeat Ganon
Description: The Evil King Ganon defeated

To get this ring, you will need to beat Oracle of Seasons and Ages, in either order and then start a new game (either one) using the provided Hero’s Secret. At the beginning of the game, this ring will be in your inventory ready to be appraised. This ring doesn’t do anything but is a commemoration of you having defeated Ganon.

#56 Sign Ring

You have to destroy 100 signposts before you can collect this ring.

Found: Sign-loving Subrosian in southeast Subrosia
Requirements: Zora’s Flippers
Description: 100 signs broken

You can do most of the grunt work over the course of the game, but you won’t be able to get this ring until halfway through the game. This ring is awarded to you for destroying 100 signposts in the game. Simply pick them up and drop them with the Power Bracelet (or better yet use an upgraded sword to destroy them). Once you’ve destroyed 100 of these, you’ll be in business.

From the Subrosian portal in Eyeglass Lake, head south one screen and enter the house. You’ll meet the Sign-loving Subrosian. (There’s actually a signpost one screen to the west of this house if you want to do this when you are able to talk to the Subrosian, who will happily tell you how many signs you’ve destroyed.) If you destroy 100 signs, he’ll be very irate. It’ll appear that he’ll reset the game on you, but it’s all a ruse. He’ll give you this ring to convince you to stop destroying signposts. This ring does nothing but help you complete your collection.

#57 100th Ring

Found: Vasu, Horon Village
Requirements: 100 rings appraised
Description: 100 rings appraised

Within a single playthrough of Oracle of Seasons or Oracle of Ages, if you manage to have Vasu appraise 100 rings, he will immediately give you the 100th Ring. This ring doesn’t do anything but instead is a commemoration of having appraised a lot of rings.
