1.Magic Hags’ Potion Shop / Woods of Mystery

After following the monkey, you will reach the end of the Woods of Mystery and find Koume. She was injured by the Skull Kid and asks you talk to her sister Kotake about helping her.

On the First Day, exit the woods and go to the Magic Hags’ Potion Shop just outside the entrance to the woods. On the Second Day and the Final Day, Kotake will be inside the Woods of Mystery searching for her sister. Talk to Kotake and she will give you a Bottle of Red Potion.

Be sure NOT to drink the potion or you will have to go speak to Kotake again for another Red Potion. Make your way to the end of the woods once more and speak to Koume. Hand her the potion and after she has fully healed, she will let you keep the Empty Bottle.

Each day has a specific route to reaching the end of the Woods of Mystery to find Koume. Below are routes to take per day if you happen to get lost.

First Day:

Second Day:

Third Day:

2.Swamp Tourist Center (3DS)

NOTE: This Empty Bottle is only available in Majora’s Mask 3D for Nintendo 3DS! In Majora’s Mask, you will get a Piece of Heart instead.

Head back to the Swamp Tourist Center after saving Koume and beating the Woodfall Temple to go on the Swamp Tour again. This time during the Swamp Tour, Koume has a little challenge for you to shoot as many targets as you can while she’s flying around the swamp from start to finish.

It’s possible to shoot arrows at her but if you do that enough times, she will end the challenge. If you can manage to get 20+ points, she will reward you with an Empty Bottle.

3.Goron Racetrack

After beating the Snowhead Temple and bringing Spring back to the Snowhead region, use a Powder Keg to blow up the boulder blocking the Goron Racetrack at the Road to Goron Village. If you haven’t acquired the Powder Keg yet, head over to Goron Village and speak to the Medigoron inside a cave that was previously blocked by a wall of ice. He will give you a Powder Keg that you must carry over to the boulder that’s blocking the racetrack. After the boulder has been blown up, don’t forget to return to Medigoron to pass the certification test to properly acquire the Powder Keg as an inventory item.

Once the entrance is open, make your way inside and speak to the Goron Elder’s Son to participate in the Goron Races. He will fill your Magic Meter if it is not full already. Having the Extended Magic Meter upgrade from the Great Fairy after saving the Stray Fairies within the Snowhead Temple (Woodfall Temple in Majora’s Mask 3D) will make the race a little easier and you won’t need to hit the green magic jars as often. All you need to do is roll your way to the finish line and come in first place. If you win the race, the Goron Elder’s Son will reward you with a Bottle of Gold Dust. Gold Dust is the final component in upgrading your Razor Sword into the unbreakable Gilded Sword at the Mountain Smithy.

4.Romani Ranch

On Milk Road, you will need to blow up the boulder blocking Romani Ranch on Dawn of the First Day using a Powder Keg. Speak to Romani and she will talk to you about needing an assistant to help stop “them”. She will ask if you want to partake in a practice challenge which will have you popping 10 ghost balloons with your Hero’s Bow while you are riding upon Epona. If you beat the challenge in time before it becomes nighttime, Romani will teach you Epona’s Song.

At 2:30am, “they” will arrive and start floating their way towards the barn. It’s recommended that you have the map of Romani Ranch purchased, one of both of the Quiver upgrades and that you DON’T have Inverted Song of Time active. Having the map will allow you to see where “they” are, you won’t need to restock on arrows as often and not having the song active will make thing go faster but will also make “them” move faster as well. Failing to stop one of “them” from reaching the barn will prevent you from continuing and you will have to restart the cycle to try again.

There are multiple methods of going about defending the ranch. Using the Hero’s Bow is the best bet to defeat them. You can ride around on Epona or you could roam around wearing the Bunny Hood. Another decent method is standing on the corner of the house above the door. You can go behind the house and use the ladder to climb up on top. It will give you VERY easy coverage of the ranch and you will only need to aim for one of “them” behind the house a couple times. Survive until 5:15am and “they” will lose the fight and run away. Romani will thank you and give you a Bottle of Milk.

5.Waterfall Rapids

In the southern area of Zora Cape, use the Hookshot to grapple the trees on the cliffs to make your way to the Waterfall Rapids. When you get inside, make your way to the beaver swimming in the water and target him. He will swim his way toward the bottom of the pool of water. Equip the Zora Mask and sink to the bottom to talk to the beaver to challenge him to a race.

Simply swim your way to the end of the race while making sure you swim through 20 rings along the way in under two minutes or less. Swimming changes made to the Zora Mask in Majora’s Mask 3D will require you to use the magic barrier attack to swim faster. You can swim into green magic jars along the way, though you can always drink Chateau Romani to alleviate the magic problem.

Beating the Little Brother will summon Big Brother who will challenge you as well. His race will require you to swim through 25 rings within the same time limit. After you win his race, the beaver brothers will reward you with an Empty Bottle. Challenging them once more within a time limit of one minute and 50 seconds going through the same set of rings will earn you a Piece of Heart.

6.Ikana Graveyard (N64)

NOTE: This Empty Bottle is only available in Majora’s Mask! In Majora’s Mask 3D, you get a Piece of Heart instead.

On Night of the Final Day, pay a visit to the Ikana Graveyard once again and you should see a few Stalchildren walking around another grave. Wearing the Captain’s Hat, speak to a Stalchild walking around the grave and ask him and his buddies to open this one up for you too. Enter the grave and you will find yourself inside a big room where inside you will find Dampé.

Remove the Captain’s Hat and speak to him. Dampé explains that he’s looking for the “Royal Family’s legendary treasure” but he can’t find it because his torch went out, so he asks you if he can have Tatl light the way for him. You can’t walk too far away from him or else he can’t see and will go a different way. If you Z/L-Target him, he will follow you no problem.

All over the room are spots that he can dig up with his shovel to uncover treasure. There are four spots on the ground and a couple spots that are elevated. Towards a stairway leading out of the room are a couple platforms on the ground. Just watch around around them as you will encounter a Wallmaster. Having Dampé step on one of the platforms and you stepping off of it will allow the platform to elevate over to one of the spots higher up. Be sure to make your way to where he will show up and target him again to make sure he doesn’t fall off.

Every now and then when Dampé digs up a spot, you will uncover a big blue flame or nothing at all. If you have him dig up three of those flames, they will come together to form a Big Poe and Dampé will run away out of fear. Big Poes aren’t too difficult to defeat. They will disappear and reappear behind the camera so you will need to turn the camera to face it and see where it’s going. After it charges at you, it will fly around a bit before disappearing again. In this case, use the Hero’s Bow to shoot and arrow at it. Repeat the process and eventually you will defeat it which will make a treasure chest appear which will contain an Empty Bottle.

7.Stock Pot Inn (3DS)

NOTE: This Empty Bottle is only available in Majora’s Mask 3D!

During Dawn of the Second Day (between 6am to 12pm), speak to the sleeping Gorman inside the large suite inside the Stock Pot Inn while you are wearing the Troupe Leader’s Mask. Gorman isn’t feeling very well and will ask you go see his brothers over at the Gorman Racetrack to pick up some special milk to help settle his stomach.

Speak to the brothers wearing the Troupe Leader’s Mask and they will give you a bottle filled of Mystery Milk. It should be noted that you can only get the Mystery Milk and give it to Gorman between 12pm to 6pm and when you get it, you only have two minutes to give it to him before it turns into Moldy Milk, at which point you’ll have to reset the cycle. You also can’t play Song of Soaring, you will have to make it back on foot. Return to Gorman with the Mystery Milk within the proper conditions and will feel much better. Gorman will give you the Empty Bottle for keeps.

8.Milk Bar

NOTE: This Empty Bottle is acquired during the Reuniting Anju and Kafei quest. Refer to that guide for more information.

On the Final Day, go back to the Laundry Pool and enter the back entrance to the Curiosity Shop. Speak to the Man of Curiosity Shop who will give you the Keaton’s Mask and the Special Delivery to Mama on behalf of Kafei. On the Night of the Final Day, enter the Milk Bar. Walk down the stairs and speak to Kafei’s mother, Madama Aroma, while wearing Kafei’s Mask. After reading the letter, she will give you a Bottle of Chateau Romani as thanks for letting her know how Kafei is doing.
