Takama Shiri Shrine: Dual Purpose
Reaching the Shrine
To reach this shrine, you will need to “Chase rings across the land”. Acquire a Sand Seal from the North side of Gerudo Town and head West towards the West Barrens. As you head West on the Sand Seal, move slightly North until you see a sand dune with a blue portal ring at the top. Once you go through the ring, more will appear ahead of you. Be sure to watch out for lizalfos throughout the challenge. Continue to go through each ring while on your Sand Seal. Eventually, you will complete the challenge and the shrine will appear in the Northwest sector of the West Barrens.
Completing the Shrine
When you first enter the shrine, you will see a room with two metallic platforms and an electric terminal.
- Move the two metallic blocks with Magnesis to the left and away from the electric terminal.
- Cross over the blocks until you have reached the gate on the other side.
- Move the metallic blocks on the side where the electric terminal is. This will create continuity and open the gate. Proceed to the next room.
For the second room, start by moving the metallic terminal not directly in front of you, but behind away from the first metallic block. This will stop electricity from reaching the block you need to cross.
- Walk onto the metallic block and turn right to enter a nonmetallic pathway around the room.
- Move the metallic blocks around so that you create a pathway across the channel to the side where the electric terminal is located.
- Once you are across, move two metallic blocks all the way across the channel where the gate is located. This should create a pathway for you to walk to the gate.
- To open the gate, use the other two metallic blocks to create a pathway between the electric terminal and end of the electric line. Essentially you are adjusting the pathway you created earlier to get across the channel. However this time, you need to ensure that the blocks create continuity, but don’t interact with the blocks to reach the gate.
Once you reach the third room, start by placing the metallic block at ground level to the left in the middle of the room. Then, using the two blocks one level above ground level, create electric continuity between the two ground level metallic blocks.
Go behind the metallic blocks and you should notice a small pathway that leads to an open gate with a chest. Inside the chest is a Royal Bow.
Now to complete the final room, start by moving the metallic blocks away from the electric terminal.
- Move the climbable metallic blocks into a pattern that will create a path for you to climb up and reach the platform to the right. Ensure that the climbable metallic block on the top level is moved all the way to the right.
- Now that you are on the elevated platform, start moving the remaining metallic blocks to create continuity between the electric terminal and the start of the electric line at the top left of the room. Notice that the elevated platform you are on is across the room, so you should have the ability to reach each block fairly easily with Magnesis.
- Once continuity is established, the gate leading to Takama Shiri will open. The climbable metallic block on the top level will allow you to climb up to the gate.
