Sato Koda Shrine: Support and Guidance
Reaching the Shrine
To reach this shrine, you must complete the task of “defeating ancient foes”. These foes that the quest mentions are three Guardian Skywatchers and a Guardian Turret located in Upland Zorana. Upland Zorana is directly North of the Zora’s Domain.
Use your Guardian Resist Armor, as well as Ancient Arrows, to defeat these four foes. Be careful around the Guardian Skywatchers, for they tend to delay their shots that makes parrying highly difficult.
Once you defeat all four Guardians, the shrine will appear in the Southwest region of Upland Zorana.
Completing the Shrine
When you enter the shrine, you will notice an orb rolling down a convoluted path with a waterfall behind it. You will need to use Cryonis to help create a path for this orb to reach the recess that opens the gate to Sato Koda.
- To start, place your first Cryonis block over the first gap that the orb will reach.
- Then, place your second Cryonis block underneath the left arm of the uppermost lever.
- Finally, locate the three channels at the bottom of the path that the orb can fall into. You want the orb to fall into the right channel to reach the recess. To allow the orb to reach this point, place your third and final Cryonis block over the divider between the left and central channels. This block should block the orb from continuing to move left and force it to either drop into the central channel or the right channel (if you are lucky).
WARNING:
If the orb rolls over this block, destroy your block and keep trying until the orb no longer does this. Ideally, you can position this block to deflect the orb enough to send it into the right channel. However, if this tactic does not work for you, the following method can also be applied.
With all three of your Cryonis blocks used (the third successfully deflecting the orb into the central channel), wait for the orb to cross over the first block. Then immediately destroy the first block and create a new third Cryonis block over the central channel. This will allow the orb to roll into the right channel and reach the recess.
Optional Treasure
Once the recess is reached and the pathway to Sato Koda is open, walk over to the recess and use Cryonis to reach the chest above. Inside you will find a Giant Ancient Core.
