Tawa Jinn Shrine – Three Giant Brothers

by on March 19, 2018

Travel to Mount Taran, south of Hateno Village and north of Lurelin Village. On the hill above Taran Pass are three altars. Each altar requires an orb, which is guarded by one of three Hinox nearby.

There is a Red Hinox at Hanu Pond. You could try to steal the orb that is hanging from the Hinox’s necklace or just defeat it, as it is the weakest of the three. Take the orb back to the altar on the hilltop that is closest to Hanu Pond.

The Hinox brother at Uten Marsh is blue: a stronger variety. There are many Courser Bee nests around the marsh, so take care to avoid them when fighting the Hinox. Remember that the eye is particularly vulnerable. Return the orb to its altar when you’re done.

The eldest Hinox is in the Rabella Wetlands. There are many Bokoblins in this area, some armed with Shock Arrows and even one with a Thunderbolt Rod! Electricity is very effective against anything standing in the water, including you, so watch out. Defeat the Bokoblins before confronting the Black Hinox to improve your chances. This variety of Hinox is very powerful, but using electricity to stun it will even the odds. Before you go, search the area where the Hinox was sleeping to find a half-buried Treasure Chest containing a Gold Rupee.

Return all three orbs to their altars to reveal Tawa Jinn Shrine.

Tawa Jinn’s Blessing

Open the Treasure Chest to collect a Great Thunderblade, then collect a Spirit Orb from the Monk Tawa Jinn.
