  • Hi, I  your username.

    Posted by N64

    • Um, hello. Thanks. I don't think we've met. Which boards do you typically frequent?

      Posted by Candycane_Keyblade

    • Oh shoot I just saw your old user name. I remember you now. :)

      Posted by Candycane_Keyblade

    • Thank you, not many ZUers remember me lol
      How's prep for holidays?

      Posted by N64

    • I keep forgetting to call my aunt and ask what she wants for Christmas. :( I'll do that tomorrow (maybe). How about you, any big plans?

      Posted by Candycane_Keyblade

    • I will be busy with court cases throughout December and January, though.

      Posted by N64

  • Oof, bit late again, I'm really not as attentive here nowadays...hey, happy belated birthday though. Hope you've been enjoying the place on the side from time to time, though I guess you must be, if you still haven't left for good after being here for just over two years now.

    Posted by Lord Vain

    • Oh, thank you. I don't mind if you're late, it's the thought that counts. And I do enjoy my time here, even if I'm not very active.
And it looks like I owe you a happy belated birthday, too.

      Posted by Candycane_Keyblade

    • Hahah, well I thank you back then, and no problem. Yeah, I guess I've fallen into the same crowd as you now, mostly just kind of drift around the place, but I post now and then when I feel like it, the community here is still pretty great and as such I stick around.

      Posted by Lord Vain

    • Hooray, I have a crowd to be part of! And apparently this crowd has met its activity quota for the day, because I have to leave for work. It was nice talking to you again. See you around.

      Posted by Candycane_Keyblade

    • Same here actually, good luck on the path.

      Posted by Lord Vain

  • I don't think we've met as of yet, but I absolutely love your username... the avatar too, faor that matter. :)

    Posted by Chel

  • Was a bit late, but happy belated birthday, young lady.

    Posted by Lord Vain

    • Thank you. :)

      Posted by Candycane_Keyblade

    • You're welcome, hope you've still been enjoying yourself around the place.

      Posted by Lord Vain

    • I have. Mostly just lurking.

      Posted by Candycane_Keyblade

    • Well, that's fine, maybe someday you'll be less shy and join Nayru though...I mean, good to hear it, continue to enjoy your stay. >w>

      Posted by Lord Vain

    • Been awhile, things still going well enough on your end? Nice that you're even still here, as shy as you may still be, been a lot of potentially good members over the years who just joined and permanently fell off the Grid quickly afterwards.

      Posted by Lord Vain

  • Apparently it's your birthday today! Happy birthday :3

    Posted by FroyoClaus

  • Hello ;3

    Posted by Pavlova

  • So, young lady, how've you been? I finished doing everything I could do in the new Zelda a few days ago now, was certainly fun while it lasted and I look forwards to the future DLC, in the meantime I've just started up a new file on Super Mario Sunshine and shall play that until Mario Kart 8 Deluxe releases in a few more days. :p

    Posted by Lord Vain

    • I'm pretty good. I've been avoiding this site while playing the game because I didn't want any spoilers. I'm almost finished now, so I figure it's safe to take a peek around. I have seven shrines, one memory, and Hyrule Castle left, so just late game stuff. I did get briefly distracted by a book I was rereading but now I'm back to Zelda.

      Posted by Candycane_Keyblade

    • Godspeed to you in regards to the remainder of your quest then, lass. I had done...well, like I said, everything one could do. lol

      Posted by Lord Vain

    • You 100% it? Nice!

      Posted by Candycane_Keyblade

    • Apparently what I did is actually considered 200% by speed-runners or something, since I just...I listed in all out in Nayrule and could take a screenshot, if you want to read over just how much stuff I did. lol

      Posted by Lord Vain

    • I'll take a look at it a little later. As impressive as I find speed-runners, it's something I never do. I will savor every moment of this game, thank you very much. :)

      Posted by Candycane_Keyblade

  • Your avatar is gorgeous :>

Just wanted to say that, lol. Also hi! o/

    Posted by FroyoClaus

    • Lol hi! And thank you.

      Posted by Candycane_Keyblade

    • Hihi~ I read on your "About" tab that you're shy, so my natural reaction was, of course, to bug you :D

Feel free to come by the forums and speak up, we don't bite :3

      Posted by FroyoClaus

    • Lol that seems to be most people's reaction when they learn someone is shy. It's okay, though. If people didn't bug me I'd never come out from under my rock.

      Posted by Candycane_Keyblade

    • Whoops, wasn't notified of this for some reason D:

And, it's alright :D sometimes we need that push to get us out, haha. Hopefully at some point you'll be able to get out yourself, though c:

      Posted by FroyoClaus

  • It's crazy to think that my last messages to you were all the way back in September, time just goes by too quickly. lol Oh, but yeah, long time no chat, how have things been? Still doing alright around the place when you may log in? :3

    Posted by Lord Vain

    • Haha yeah, it has been a while. I appreciate your stopping by. Still a bit nervous posting things, but I'm slowly growing more comfortable. Everyone has been really nice. I mostly just lurk, though.

      Posted by Candycane_Keyblade

    • Oh, it's no problem, guess is has been a few months since anything was going on here on your wall though. lol Hmmm, and well, that's alright, good to hear you're gradually warming up to the place in either case. If you ever do warm up enough, you could aim to join a clan too, though given your shy personality...Nayru likely would be best, since as far as I'm aware, the other clans are quite a bit more intense when compared to ours. =w=

      Posted by Lord Vain

    • Yes, I've peeked in at the clans before, and I agree that Nayru would fit me best. There's a lot there though, so I'm not ready to dive in just yet.
So that's what's up with me, how about you? I assume you're still spreading sunshine and happiness, since you just spread some over here?

      Posted by Candycane_Keyblade

    • All in due time, and yep, sunshine, positivity and tea among other things. lol Been keeping an eye out for the special editions of Breath of the Wild on the Canadian Amazon too, really want to get in on that stuff.

      Posted by Lord Vain

    • Omg tea. O.O Anyone who gives out tea is cool in my book. It's kind of a thing in my house. And I wish you the best of luck finding a special edition. I hear they're difficult to get because demand is so high.

      Posted by Candycane_Keyblade

  • Hey! :3

    Posted by Linkle

  • Hey, all! I had to take a little break from ZU because work, school, and life all decided to have a battle royale to see which one could use up the most of my time. I'm back now, and hopefully I can post a little more regularly.

    Posted by Candycane_Keyblade

  • Happy birthday!

Posted by Amber The Gay Fox

  • Happy Daybirth. :3

    Posted by Lord Vain

  • Rather the shy type then, hmmm? That's perfectly normal, give it enough time and I'm sure you'll warm up to the place yet, just make sure that you don't try to rush yourself or anything. Figured I'd try to bring some activity to your rather empty wall here, in truth you joining rather late may not have been all too bad an outcome, since in turn I'd imagine this means you got to skip out on a lot of the forum issues and downtime related to upgrades. lol You're quite new to everything, so the newest layout is what you're starting with, don't need to try to relearn anything. So, what do you think of the place thus far? Can't be as scary as places like the Shadow Temple or the Arbiter's Grounds...there are other styles to choose from too, you should be able to find the "change style" option in the bottom right corner of your profile here. Like what I can imagine is a lot of members, I use the Throwback one, so you could either stick with the default one or see if any of the others are more to your liking.

    Posted by Lord Vain

    • Yeah lol this place is nowhere NEAR as scary as the Shadow Temple! Those redeads scared me so much, I actually beat WW before OoT! This place seems really friendly, especially to newcomers. And thank you for pointing out the style change, I did not know about that.

      Posted by Candycane_Keyblade

    • #the more you know

Also, I saw you visited my profile before, likely wondered why you couldn't do anything, huh? Yeah, I've just had it locked up tight so people who I dislike can't bother me or look through my stuff...it's an easy fix though, if you'd actually ever want to poke around my wall. lol

Anyways, the ReDeads and Gibdos are one thing, but I often think about Dead Hand...eheheh...eesh. And to think, some actually considered that a child's game, that's not even nightmare fuel, it's the nightmare bus that the nightmare fuel is put into. Hmmm, and that's interesting, guess the Shadow Temple scared you away for quite some time then. Are you by chance a fan of the Wind Waker though? It's my favourite title in the series, but going back to ReDeads, I feel the ones in that game are the worst. lol Glad to hear you're enjoying your stay, most of the members here are pretty well mannered and the staff all have a good handle on everything, plus they all know how to have fun too, which is nice. You know, it's not all serious all the time, we usually have a pretty good flow going around here. Oh, and you're welcome, just found myself wondering if any of the other styles might be more to your liking too. :3

      Posted by Lord Vain

    • I wasn't really trying to do anything, just nebbin' around, trying to get the feel of the place. I AM a fan of WW, it's in a tossup with MM for my favorite Zelda game. Is it weird, though, that I actually kind of miss the scary redeads from OoT? Newer incarnations of redeads are just kinda meh... A little tense, maybe, but they don't incite terror like they used to. Maybe it's just cuz I'm older.

      Posted by Candycane_Keyblade

    • Well, if you may have any questions that aren't already answered, I could try to help some. Anyways, if you're anything like me, which you very well may be, that just might be the case. Super Mario Sunshine is my favourite game of all time, yet when I was little, I admit that some of the bosses and moments outright terrified me to the point where, like your case with Ocarina of Time, I just couldn't beat the game. lol It took me at least a year to beat it for the first time, maybe longer, but nowadays...all the things that scared me don't really bother me much at all, in some cases like Sunshine I even enjoy the stuff that scared me. Same goes for ReDeads and the like, if anything I find them annoying now, since I'm a lot older and not as easily intimidated. lol Nice to meet another Wind Waker fan too, it's my top favourite followed by The Minish Cap and Twilight Princess, they're my personal top three.
