Oh ? You are banned ?! Hmm …
So, that was because of your political view ...
That sad, for sure, I am myself a bit "on the right side" and surely saw how the lefties are making any places their safe spaces, even this website.
they see disagreement as a synonym for feeling threatened, and sometimes they sure make us lose our temper.
I now see and treat them as children, since it's how they act, and so, I act as the adult and mature one.
I came from a french website named "jeuvideo.com" that's like 4chan but sometimes even worst, it's a nest for the trolls.
I passed some of my teenagehood here, too much time already, and that was in 2006 ....
I was some edgy teen, but I've encountered a lot of people of any kind, my first taste of people on the internet.
My ex-girlfriend once tried to converge me into a leftist and she kinda succeeded for a time, I was a f#*&ing Hipster on Tumblr talking about depression.
Those people are all naive and after an illusion, that feeling are more important than fact and that order and laws are the enemy of Freedom, even if society was born from it. They are seeds of anarchists.
That's how depressive people are, self destructive …
I've hopefully got away from that trap and raised up as a right guy with his own opinion, a "Loki" as I like to call myself, a "jester" from the middle, but I spread chaos only when I think this is needed.
I was listening to StevenCrowder's video about that modern form of censure, "Hate Speech", as a french it's even worst there, you can't share your opinion of it's not the "correct" one.
I learnt how to deal with them and avoid unnecessary conflicts ...
I hope you will be able again to share things with us soon, we are missing you on Theorizing.
Good luck !
Couldn't agree more, Hero.
I'd be interested in talking to you about Steven Crowder, though, Nonoctoro (I have some pretty strong opinions on him), so PM me or If you'd like I can open a thread on the subject some time.
Hey man, good luck on your mission! You're wicked smart and stand by your convictions even with loads of opposition, and that's awesome. Do you have your call yet?
I'm expecting it around Thanksgiving.
And I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for your reasoned approach in the Kavanaugh "everyone vs. logicalpencils" matter. I used rather tough and unforgiving language due to how tough and unforgiving others in that thread were -- people, including mods, saying, "look at that new Swetnick allegation, anyone who still believes Kavanaugh's a fool", "you just think he *deserves* it because of the patriarchy", and the like.
You gave by far the best argument against the confirmation one could hope to find. I didn't continue on with it mostly because I wasn't really in the mood to switch gears from "root issue commentary" to "5-page megapost battle". Really I shouldn't have said anything to begin with -- if the current state of The War Room is any indication, reasoned consideration of opposing viewpoints isn't particularly possible in SD. It does impress me, though, that Theorizing is so relatively tame.
Maybe that's what I love about the Gospel of Jesus Christ so much -- much easier to learn and teach eternal truths than to bicker over boofing.
It's not easy to be a conservative voice in America in today's climate, but it is important. I don't often contribute to conversations in Serious Discussion because most of the time I have nothing to say that would impact the discussion in any relevant way: most people are gonna believe what they believe and aren't looking for debate but validation. The Kavanaugh hearing and the discussion about it was a real debate about something I cared about, and you're right that people were not engaging with you in "serious discussion." Even though we disagreed, I thought you deserved better than snide remarks or aggressive, in your face posts that didn't actually address your points much. I have enormous respect for you trying to connect with people with very different belief systems than you. We need more of that.
Especially since, while the Republicans are in charge now and doing things that I don't think are right, when the Democrats are in power we will need rational, thoughtful opposition to their excesses and misdeeds too. That's how it used to work, and how it should again. Hats off to you, my friend.
And I agree with you. The gospel is a far, far greater source of truth than a political debate forum. I served in the Nevada Las Vegas mission. It's beautiful and relieving to know that people from whatever background, political affiliation, or belief system can find peace and healing in the atonement. Being a missionary is awesome, hard work, and I think you'll be good at it!
Best wishes for your mission, man.
INACTIVE UNTIL 2021
Hey there. I know we don't talk much. I just wanted to say that I think you're a decent guy, and that you should keep your head up.
Hey, I just saw your most recent post in the Creators' Retreat thread. In the future, please don't disclose your identity as the writer of a specific contest entry until voting closes. We like to keep it anonymous in order to minimize biased votes. Thanks!
" believe a few myself like that "Rosalina is Luigi's daughter" idea"
How though? So much of that theory was garbage.
It was less garbage than what he usually uses; maybe my standard was just lowered after seeing so many awful Zelda theories.
All I remember was an absolutely bogus ear argument and a point about Luigi owning a telescope, which he does not.
I like this plan! Give.me.a.daughter!!! c:
I thought we make wishes at 11:11?
Hey, I'm a christian but I don't believe in the trinity. The idea of a trinity was introduced hundreds of years after the bible was completed. The bible has more support against than for it.
(Edit: I saw your posts about the trinity in the Demise vs Ganondorf thread.)
If it isn't from God or His prophets, I'm doubtful. If it contradicts the words of God or His prophets, it's wrong.
That probably means you're Muslim, right? I talk to Muslims now and then and my religion has a lot more similarities than other christian religions. I'm a Jehovah's Witness and we discovered that churches say many things that aren't in the bible.
Muslims don't believe in the divinity of Christ. As for my statement on prophets:
Amos 3:7 - "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets."
"We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the kingdom of God." - Eighth Article of Faith
"What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself; and though the heavens and the earth pass away, my word shall not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same." - D&C 1:38
So yea I'm a Mormon. (D&C is Doctrine & Covenants)
I will say in response to that one comment you made about John 5:7 being added later: whether that's true or not, it is true that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are one, just not in the physical sense. Jesus and Paul also state that we should be one with Christ, but clearly that doesn't mean physically, either.
You also mentioned that Christ had a beginning, whereas the Father did not, and I'm not sure what you meant by that.
Ah ok, Mormon, interesting. You preach/evangelize for one year or so, right? Did you already do that? Did you go abroad for that?
Interesting, I also often use the scripture where Jesus says he and his disciples should be one, like he and his father are one. One in faith, in love, in knowledge. Not physically.
I was referring to the following scripture, Colossians 1:15,16, talking about Jesus:
"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; because by means of him all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All other things have been created through him and for him."
Proverbs 8:22,23 supports the idea that Jesus had a beginning.
I have yet to go on my mission, and it's 2 years for young men. My older brother went to Mexico City, my eldest sister to California, and another sister to Poland.
Christ being the firstborn doesn't mean He has a beginning in the complete sense. Having a beginning implies that He didn't exist at one point, and then did exist. But, just like all of us, Christ's being was always in existence. What do have beginnings are the creations of spirit bodies before the Genesis 1 creation, including Christ's, and the creations of our physical bodies on Earth.
Any time we create something, we are combining lesser things into something greater. The greatest of our creative abilities on this Earth is the creation of other human life, which also requires a combining. So too do I think that God, when He creates, is actually taking matter and forming it into a greater thing.
Sure, why not? :L
I have seen you around the board, and I just wanted to visit your page with a message of introducing myself.
How are things?
Things are well, except for the things that aren't; so normal, basically.
How do you feel about Miyamoto "upending the teatable" on FSA?
Annoying, requires retcons to fit it into LtP, but that connection should still have existed.
Agreed on both counts. I would have loved to see the Seal War and I hate FSA's HH timeline placement.
The original sequence of events would be SS-TMC-FS/FSA-ALTTP/OOX/LA-ALBW-LOZ/AOL. At some point, a Link goes back in time to either before The Minish Cap or before Four Swords and makes a wish on the Triforce for the Triforce to split if someone with an unbalanced heart touches it. He also uses the Master Sword to seal the Sacred Realm and gives the Ancient Sages the idea to build the Temple of Time for further security. As a result, the location of the entrance to the Sacred Realm is never a mystery and Ocarina of Time happens instead of Four Swords Adventures/the Imprisoning War.
Well, you know what they say - given a finite amount of information, an infinite number of solutions can be presented. (That's actually mathematically proven).
I still prefer the SS timeline split, simply because we see the evidence of that time travel. And of course, I'm iffy on the Triforce-splitting stuff being manufactured; it seems like an important part of the lore that people must be worthy of the virtues of the Triforce to truly wield it.
Something interesting that I noticed is that the ALTTP manual says that Ganondorf was already known as "Ganon" before he and his followers found the Sacred Realm. Maybe that's because he had the Trident?
I also hate the Triforce splitting being an absolute rule. It limits possibilities for future games and it resulted in ALBW's backstory not matching ALTTP.
>.> I'm a theorist - theorists only have enemies to debate with XD
Mostly cause you only had two other people following you. Looked a bit lonely on your page to me.
Ganondorf exists in a business suit.
Actually I use the name "pencils" because an alternate definition for the word is "thin ray of light". All truth agrees with itself - light cleaveth unto light, virtue loveth virtue. Truth is like a collection of small rays of light that we see slowly increasing in number as the sun rises.
Logic is the way we seek to understand the truth we have. It is by faith, diligence, and patience we come to acquire truth. All truth is reasonable, all "pencils" of wisdom are logical, and if to that wisdom we add the courage to do what we know, the truth shall set us free - we will have the power to act, to create, and not be acted upon.
The more you know™ x3
A logical pen would still be funny though
Just read back on this... my goodness was I pretentious a year ago. I still mean what I wrote, but this is just a really poor description on my part. One can hardly get through a phrase without rolling his eyes at it.
No arguments there Looking back and wincing at stuff you wrote is a good way to tell you've improved. So keep going.
