your sig is really awesome!
Oh sorry! Its been rough here, not been going well. But its getting better. Havent even been online mostly.
How are you? Hope your okay. Haha and actually I am still listening to RH often :p Still one of my favorite bands. Have gotten into Wilco recently. And finally checked out Interpol, I love them. I only have one song by them though :p Evil. Its an awesome song. Need more.
Haha, no problem! I've been lazy with keeping ahols of everyone as well. Ok, I'll get ahold of you.
Actually, I don't have everything Pixies. They are like the best band to exist. But they are also kinda hard to find here. But I have a bunch, so I could send what I have.
Have you heard Queens of the Stone Age before? They have a new album out, I'm in love with the song I Sat By The Ocean, It's the best. I'm totally gonna buy the new album.
I was reading your post in the 9/11 thread and noticed a (new?) Nayru banner so I thought I'd say hello!
Welcome to Nayru!
It's my favorite so far. Haha, I noticed that in 2+2=5 as well! I love that song. When I first heard it, it blew my mind. That was the perfect opening song for the album. I've listened to it over and over again.
Pyramid song was great. I've listened to it multiple times. I think spinning plates has his best singing on that album, though. He doesn't really belt it out or anything, but it has so much emotion to it.
Haha, you KNOW I want all of it. Definitely. Which one do you like more between The Bends and Ok Computer? Those are the big ones I want now.
Hmmm, I would totally love to share Pixies with you. But I'm not entirely sure how. Maybe we should PM about it.But that would definitely be a deal.
I love Sail to the Moon. I'm also really big into Scatterbrain. The whole album is beautiful.
Haha, those were my big ones, too. I listened to Amnesiac a million times already. Knives Out and Like Spinning Plates were my all time favorite songs for a while. I also really liked You Might Be Right. I love Kid A, I liked the song Kid A, National Anthem, How to Dissapear Completely and Ideoteque, of course, and Motion Picture Show. I haven't listened to that one for a while now, though. Amnesiac was my favorite until HttT. Haha, I also really liked those songs.
I actually think HttT features Thom Yorke's best vocal work on any album I've heard so far. Right now, I'm hoping to get Ok Computer, The King of Limbs, In Rainbows, and The Bends.
'Really? You gotta listen to them! Look up some of their stuff when you get a chance. Some of my favorites are Where is my Mind?, Veloria, Something Against You, Gigantic, Gauge Away, Alec Eifel, Holiday Song, and my favorite would have to be Caribou.
Oh, my best friend apparently likes Interpol. He showed me one of their songs, and I really liked it. I don't know the name, though. But I plan to look them up here soon.
So Hail to the theif is amazing! I've listened to it several times now. I wanna say Sail to the Moon is my favorite track, but it's hard to say. I like so many tracks, there has only been one that I thought was ok. It's amazing.
I walked down to the pet store today to look at rats, and I listened to Sail to the Moon the whole time there. It was raining so hard, it fit the song perfectly. It was like a religious experience, haha.
Ok, I got it! Thanks a bunch! I have it on my mp3 player now, gonna listen to it when I get the chance.
Oh, sure. Any good music is appreciated.
Yeah, he has a different guitar. I don't think it's because of his tuning, cause he has so many. I'm thinking he's just a guitar nut, and likes to show them off. Haha.
I have met a few people who do that as well. I've met a few bassist who keep another bass tuned to F. I never do this. We always have our instruments tuned to E.
Yeah, RH is one of the most diverse bands ever. That's what's so great about them. No two albums sound alike. They are very talented.
Have you ever listened to the Pixies? They called them their musical heroes. I'm a big Pixies nut. They are like the biggest modern influence on alternative music.
What kind of music does your brother play, by the way?
Yeah, I have a pretty diverse taste in music. I can listen to anything as long as it's good. I mostly like alt rock, but I like anything good.
I'll have to check them out someday when I'm not busy.
Yeah, they had something to do with Now, Now, anywho. I'm a big fan. You should check them out when you get the chance.
He is, he's crazy, too. I also noticed that Ed O'Brian switches guitars on every song. It's the weirdest thing. I wonder why he does this?
I haven't. I'll have to look that up.
Haha, so I checked my email. It said I need to request permission from the owner, is this you?
i'll definitely check them out, what's your favorite Interpol song?
Haha, I understand that, I have a few bands like that, too. I'm big into Pixies and Nirvana (though there are very few people who haven't heard of Nirvana)
Have you heard of Now, Now? I think it was one of the guys from Interpol that got them started in the music business. Or something like that, anyways.
Yeah, it's one of mine, as well. Radiohead is great night music, Also great for walks in the autumn as well.
Ha, I think it rocks as well. It's a beautiful song, makes me a bit emotional. I actually haven't listened to Kid A in a while, I should play it on a walk here soon.
Have you ever seen Thom's face while playing? He likes like a nut! Reminds me of Neil Young, haha.
Ah, never heard of it. I'll hafta to look that up sometime.
Haha, I'd just consider my self lucky for having it.
Ah, I tried that site you sent me. I signed up and everything, but it won't let me download anything. It keeps saying I have to pay for it. I can't seem to figure it out.
*Knows nothing about computers*
I'm so bummed.
Actually, that's what I feel about other people on this forum. No matter what I say, even if I'm merely AGREEING with something someone else said, immediately people jump on my back and turn what I said into debate fodder, arguing against it to the death. It's fucking annoying and it's like some people on here don't want to do anything but argue just for the sake of arguing, not actually trying to prove a point. That's why I said I hate the Zelda fanbase. (Wasn't directed at you btw)
Lol okay. Sure.
Is this supposed to give me the feeling that what I say doesn't matter anymore? Lol.
Whoa, I almost ignored you! *phew* I went to hit PM, and accidentally hit ignore. Thank goodness that didn't happen.
I'm pretty tired today, I'm all kinds of fuzzy. I'm having a hard time typing today, haha.
Haha, I totally agree with You! It's beautiful. And rocking I love Pablo Honey. My favorite track is Blow Out.
I'm a big fan of Pablo Honey, I listen to it alot. I think everything they do is amazing.
Have you heard of Bjork? Thom York actually said that their music was greatly influenced by her. I think Kid A is an attempt to replicate her sound. I'm a big Bjork fan.
What about Ideoteque? Haha. I love that song, one of my favorites.
Hmmm. I couldn't pick my most meaning albums without giving it alot of thought. I'd have to really think about it. I have so many.
I hear alot of my favorite bands of today say they were influenced by Interpol, but I don't think I've listened to them yet. I need to check them out.
Worrywort, what album is that? I don't recognize it. Haha, i'm the same way. if I listen to a song I like, I can listen to it all day long and not get tired of it.
Haha, I understand. i think they are both wonderful. I actually heard the remix before the original, so it just sounds more "right" to me.
Yes I want you to share Hail to the Thief! You don't even have to ask, haha. Need my email?
Yeah, same here. I never really knew who they were until I was about 17, my best friend introduced me to them. I actually remember my first Radiohead experience, he played Creep from Pablo Honey on a ride in his car. I thought it was like the greatest song I had ever heard.
It's funny, I thought it was amazing at the time, now I rarely listen to it.
I love Kid A, I think How To Disappear Completely may be my favorite RH song. I love that song.
I don't have Hail To The Thief yet, but I want it really badly. It's the one with There, There, right? I love that song. Have you heard their new album, The King Of Limbs? It's pretty good. I also really like The Bends. I've also heard Thom York's solo stuff is amazing, but I haven't actually listened to it yet.
Haha, I can't decided which version of Morning Bell I like the best. It's usually whichever one I'm listening to at the moment.
I'm a big time Radiohead fan. My best friend's birthday is coming up, I'm gonna get him Ok Computer. Neither of us actually have that album yet, and that way I can put it on my mp3 player, so it's really more for me than it is for him, haha.
Haha, well accept my friend request and we will be!
Hey, just sending you a brief VM to say I got your PM and will respond in the morning. It's 1 am here, so I am going to sleep now lol.
You know, saving people, hunting things. The family business.
The horror ...
As a bacterium, that has me deeply offended.
Not too much, KAT.
