    Posted by TruEdge67

    • Thanks! I'm honestly not gonna do much, as I got to run some errands during the day. I'll probably go out to dinner. No biggie. Birthdays are very lowkey for me.

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

  • Yo!!!!!! I don't care if you were being sarcastic, here's some spam. imgur.com/r/WDTSG/gGyB3xU

    Posted by TruEdge67

    • I hope you like it. :)

      Posted by TruEdge67

    • Spam is maps backwards.

      Posted by TruEdge67

    • Nasty! I'm no soldier!

I do like maps though. They get me places.

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

    • Thanks for nominating me for most energetic. I've lost count of how many people have picked me for that lol. Oh and I like your new avatar. Actually I liked your previous one too.

      Posted by TruEdge67

    • No problem. It was an easy choice. I merely had to look at your post count *cough*. Everyone else was a pokemon so I thought I might as well join in. Dragonite's my boy.

    Posted by Aurelia

    • *gasp* Are you implying you're going to crush my heart?!

      How have you been?

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

    • With my love absolutely.

I’ve been good, how are you!

      Posted by Aurelia

    • horrible, but physically ok. Had a car accident on the freeway, and I destroyed the front fender on the passenger side. Amazingly the damage was only cosmetic, and I can still drive the thing, but I'm basically going to have to get makeshift parts, since the original pieces can no longer be found.

Funny thing is that the other car was perfectly fine but for a few minor scratches on the back bumper.

Otherwise I'm alright. My school is going well, as is my internship. Not making a whole lot of money to sustain myself and pay for the damages, though. My free internship kind of makes working on a business day difficult.

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

    • Oh my gosh, i am so sorry that happened. It sucks when the other car turns out fine, it has happened to me a few times while driving on the highway.

But I am happy that your schooling and internship is going good. I wish I could help!

      Posted by Aurelia

    • No worries. I've got my health and can still use the car while I search for parts. Anything new with you?

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

  • How is Wheel of Time? I see that series everywhere and I've been thinking I might just go ahead and read it.

    Posted by Evran_Speer

    • To put it simply...an epic. If you like high fantasy akin to Lord of the Rings, you can't go wrong. Political intrigue, philosophy, cultural dialogue, and a rich, blended narrative. I'll admit, the first book, Eye of the World, follows Fellowship of the Ring to a T, though it quickly diverges after. Just be warned that there are 14 books, so be prepared for an investment.

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

    • High fantasy like Lord of the Rings is basically my favorite genre, so that's definitely a good sign. 14 is a bit more books than I assumed there were, though. I think I've only seen the first 7 or 8. Well, maybe I'll start collecting them when I see them at book sales and such, and then start reading it once I have all or at least a lot of them.

      Posted by Evran_Speer

  • A fellow Wheel of Time fan! :D
    I'm currently re-reading the series^^

    Posted by Moriquendi

    • Nice! Rand's journey was a big part of my high school life. I'm not sure if I can reread the series again though, haha. 14 books...all quite lengthy. Other than Moiraine, Lan and Moridin are some of my favorite high fantasy characters.

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

    • Hehe^^ I failed to complete it the first time I tried, then finished the first 13 shortly before the last book was released. I'm on book 11, currently :) I really like Perrin, myself. I'm fond of the others as well, though^^ Lan is awesome, of course.

      Posted by Moriquendi

  • I hope you'll like "Only Yesterday" when you some day get to see it. I really love it, myself :)

    Posted by Moriquendi

    • I'm sure I will! I'm pretty sure that and and Marnie are the only Ghibli movies I haven't seen, and I've loved the rest. They know how to please me, with the general aesthetic of their movies, believable, multi-faceted characters, and sense of wonder. Miyazaki and his crew really make me appreciate strong female protagonists.

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

    • Mm, I love pretty much every Ghibli movie as well :p Only Yesterday is rather diferent than most others, though. It's a relatively simple story about life, but I find it very charming still. When you do see it, remember to sit through the end credits^^

      Posted by Moriquendi

  • Just wanted to say I love your avatar and sig. Nice to see the Oracle games get some love.

    Posted by TruEdge67

    • Thanks! Aurelia, another member here, was kind enough to make it for me. It's a caricature of myself with my favorite fruit and my favorite animal character, Moosh! The Oracle games (particularly Ages) are some of my favorites. It's part of how I got my username, along with the fact that its acronym is OoT.

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

  • Nice avatar!

And heya, how's everything been with you? :>

    Posted by FroyoClaus

    • Thanks! Nice Jack Frost Kirby!
Good! Got my Switch over the weekend (after waiting 2 weeks for it to arrive). Enjoying it a lot. Sad about the money I had to shell out to get it, but overall happy, haha.
My school is going well. Nothing out of the ordinary.

      How about you?

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

    • Haha thanks. This totally needs to be a thing.

NICE! See, you'd eventually give in :^) Glad you're enjoying it. What have you gotten for it thus far?

Glad to hear! I started uni recently, myself. Life's been good, tiring xD besides the usual, not complaining much haha.

      Posted by FroyoClaus

    • I have Celeste, Odyssey, Steamworld dig 2, kamiko, celeste, axiom verge, and BOTW.
Yes, I had BOTW on Wii U already. The funny thing was I got the Switch version for the special explorer's guide (which I got on a discount) before I even realized that I wanted to have a Switch.

Congrats! And yeah, college life can be a mess in the first year, haha.

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

    • Ngl an excuse to play a Zelda game again is easy to sell for me xD I've played all three versions of OoT, both of MM and the GC and Wii versions of TP, for example. Any games that pique your interest but don't have yet? I hear good things of both Xenoblade and Kirby, for some.

What did the explorers guide include, again? O.o Can't even keep track of everything BotW released, rip.

Oh it definitely is! Especially because I spent two years as a slacker with low social interaction, so it was particularly rough lmao.

      Posted by FroyoClaus

    • I kind of want Xenoblade, but there are so many elements to it that are off-putting for me. The hyperbolic anime tropes, the 'fan service', the random blade mechanic, areas gated by specific skills, and the lame main character. I loved the original, and while it had its share of tropes, it was not to the same degree, not by a mile. The fact that every trailer has emphasized these scenes, and the fact that a lot of players have noted them, turns me off.

The edition included a map and a small guidebook with beautiful art on the front cover. It came after the day 1 Masters Edition, which had that novelty Master Sword statuette. I really wanted it (again, without even thinking of buying a Switch).

Well say goodbye to your isolation. Whether you like it or not, people will bother you on campus, haha.

  • God I haven't spoken to you in forever.

Posted by A Link Between Hearts

    • Well don't let me stop you! Talk to God!
      :p
It has been a while. What's been going on? Has Alan Cumming noticed you?

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

    • Kinda? On my birthday back in December he gave me another shoutout...and he used my name, whereas the first time he didn't.

Course, it was my legal name but still.

Posted by A Link Between Hearts

    • hey, that's great! Etch that into your heart. He cares about a fan who he's never met.

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

    • Oh, I did, believe me. He stole my heart way before that though.

...also I was kinda mindlessly scrolling through tumblr a bit ago and there was this post that said "would an alien think I'm pretty" only I thought it said Alan at first oops.

Posted by A Link Between Hearts

    • Well, would he?

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

  • Love the avatar :o

    Posted by Chel

    • Thank you! Haha, I wish I could take credit. In the Smash hype I just googled fanart and it popped up. I like to draw, but I wouldn't dream of making something this good.

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

    • Eh, even still. Avatar selection is an art in and of itself. :)

    Posted by Aurelia

    • I actually just changed it a second ago, haha. Yeah, it's my signature pic now. It accentuates...me!

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

    • as I would hope so!

      Posted by Aurelia

    • It does! Let me know when you're willing to skype again. I'm open around the same agreed upon time (~8ish-10ish pst) every weekday, and pretty much free throughout the weekends if I don't have stuff planned.

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

    • Imma say maybe Saturday night depending on how I feel after work, but I’ll definitely let you know very soon!

      Posted by Aurelia

    • sounds good!

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

  • do you wanna try out a forum game? :3

    Posted by goronmario

    • eh, it depends on how involved it might be. If it means participation everyday, I can't. Some days I try my best to stay offline and get out of the house. There are days where I'm online, but am not inclined to post in a forum. I use to be an avid Mafia player in another forum, and even created my own games on some occasions, but not anymore.

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

    • Ah, it was actually a mafia game I'm running. Nevermind then! =P

      Posted by goronmario

  • Yuor avatar change threw me off and i was like wut

    Posted by JPineapple

    • haha, surprise! If you knew me in my high school days you would know I was huge on zoology before I decided to go into a career as a psychologist. The clouded leopard has always been my favorite animal.

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

    • well its good to change your avatar once in a ehile haha. Also interesting change in direction there Why the switch?

      Posted by JPineapple

    • couldn't really tell you. It's funny 'cuz I was initially going to find a Samus set, in celebration of Samus Returns, but then I started to think about a more original set, something that wouldn't be predictable. Then I thought about what are my favorite things aside from Zelda, and here we are.
I honestly put more thought into deciding my set than I have in writing my current school assignment, haha. This is what procrastination does.

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

    • lol i actually meant why switch from being into zoology to psychiatry

      Posted by JPineapple

    • I realized that I wasn't as good with the concepts of the natural sciences (i.e biology and chemistry) as I thought, haha. It's not as drastic a switch as you'd think. I was planning to get into animal behavior, and now I'm geared towards human behavior. The switch was ultimately due to me gradually understanding my strengths and weaknesses, and finding out that the realm of animal science was not going to be my strong suit. And it's school psychology, not psychiatry. Two completely different disciplines, the latter requiring a medical degree.

  • Oracle.

Join ZU's Discord, you know you want to :B

    Posted by FroyoClaus

    • how to discord? I've never used it. I've heard it's like Skype. I've joined forum-related chat groups before (i.e on skype), and I don't tend to be too fond of them. I prefer talking to people one on one instead of being bombarded with several voices at once.

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

    • Yeah, it's an IM platfotm x3 ZU has an official server :'v

But going off that, IM probably isn't for you, so :'D. It's muuuuch faster paced thsn forums, that's for sure xD

      Posted by FroyoClaus

    • Yup, probably not. I like having a back and forth dialogue. I can't glean much if everyone is talking at once. You inevitably get people who are drowned out. I would probably be in that group, haha.

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

  • i stillcant believe doom and wolfo 2 is coming ot switch. Like that makes me super hopeful for third party support

    Posted by JPineapple

    • Those were the highlights of the direct, and Nintendo made a blunder of not flaunting those titles and spending more time with them. These are perfect examples of Western third party support, and you need to emphasize that with your audience.

      Posted by Oracle of Truth

    • yeah iget what you mean. though the fact itsh appening is really good til

      Posted by JPineapple

    • Agreed. I'll admit that the overall presentation didn't woo me to go buy a Switch. Mario Odyssey's the only game that is wowing me. XC2 was suppose to be one of the other titles, but it looks choppy, and the combat UI was busy and all over the place. Octopath Traveler looks enticing, but not a system seller for me.

      Posted by Oracle of Truth
