The problem with these games, and I'll include almost every other big name seller in the Western markets, is that they are so shot up with testosterone that it's painful for me to watch. It seriously makes me cringe how uber-masculine these games attempt to be. And then we wonder why there aren't more girl gamers...
Lemme guess,,, you like to play as a female in RPG's? (cus that's what I do as well, because I find it easier to relate to a character like femshep, who is badass but still able to show emotion, than a character like maleshep, who has bulging muscles and a monotone voice)
Ah Yeah, me too, actually. That's all I've heard of and found out about so far at least. I think there's 4 or 5. There are a few in planning of course, ours included. It seems most want to keep on with what they're doing in Norway in general.. but we'll just have to see. The number of eco villages are certainly rising, hopefully more will be inspired. Even if the economic market collapses, we'll be good to go.
I'm very glad I do find the ways of today to be very strange to say the least. We fill up on sugar, caffeine and alcohol and farming is synonymous with enormous monocultures. It's eye-widening to see how much more work, resources and chemicals are needed to farm in that way. I like technology in certain areas, of course, but far from everything. We'll be having solar panels and such to provide energy, so that's certainly very practical. Not surprisingly, I agree *smiles*
That's great There are a few minor communities here and there. We don't have many in Norway so far. I think you can count them on one hand, actually. There are a lot of successful ones elsewhere in Europe that I know of, though. We've always cared very much for the nature we live in. Both my beloved and I are educated biologists, by the way. It will make it a bit easier in doing the permaculture. I don't know if you've heard of it? It's built upon the basics of normal ecosystems.. flora and fauna affect each other. If you put the right organisms together, they will help each other and more or less manage themselves with need of little or no interference
Yes, I guess you can say that. From my part at least. When people ask what I believe in, I usually just say nature :p
Ah, you're a writer o: That must be interesting. It must be nice being able to work from home and such.
I'm would like to live within an hour or two from a city, just in case of a severe emergency. Other than that, we're going to live in an eco village with some friends of ours. We won't really need much from the outside. I want to do permaculture
That's great Not many as young as us have been together for so long (five and a half year, here).
Do you see yourself living in a city in the future, or do you prefer staying out in the "wilderness"?
Indeed not^^ Have you been together for long?
We live 40 minutes away from the city and don't venture there unless we need to, so we don't exactly see much of night clubs *laughs*
Aw, but you were so nicely dressed and everything. We didn't have a party this year either. We usually do, but this year we were in Oslo to see Within Temptation during the weekend. Halloween isn't a tradition in Norway, but it has become normal to have costume parties.
At least it was a bit entertaining, and you did get to spend time with your beloved
It's very nice being able to walk everywhere, yeah. Love the city feel. Screw not being around anything and having to drive miles and miles to get anywhere. And a lot more opportunities in the city as well. I have a brother that lives in Atlanta, and he likes it a good bit. Moreso than being here at least.
I'm right at Lincolnville, near Ladson's Oakbrook cinema, so you might know exactly where if you've ever been! And yeah, crime is crazy here, but I'm just looking for the simple life, so my job is perfect for me in Walterboro. Problem is, it's currently part time (and would remain so) which I don't have a problem with, except I drive a gas guzzler. So most of my check goes into fuel.
Where were you hoping to move to?
*Whoops, typed that in my profile rather than in convo*
I'm glad^^ I feel quite welcome here as well. You'll get to know more people as the time goes by.
Did you have a nice Halloween party?
Nice photos in the scrapbook!
Summerville currently. But trying to get back to Walterboro. AND WHAT A STATE INDEED.
