• I've been working on a new theory, but its tough. I remember when I first got on ZU, theorizing was a breeze! Now I feel like I can't do it...

• Hey, Baton? Can you tell me what this says; if there are any washing instructions and if so what they are? My niece got my mochi mochi dirty and I don’t know how to clean it properly. :/

• How have you been? Do you still keep up with timeline discussions?

• I keep reading your name as baton if the wild instead of wind

• Hello... noticed your wall hasn't been shown much love lately, so I'm dropping in to say hey...

• Regarding your tranlation of the first dialogues of BOTW, I want to point out a couple corrections.

じじい (jijii) is "gramps" or "old man" so he's asking Link "You're interested in a gramps like me?".

And だが... ここで会ったのも何かの縁じゃ is actually "But... I feel like our meeting is no coincidence...".

• There was a line I was gonna bring to you for clarification but you beat me to it lol

I'm hopefully gonna have the king's tale of the past and maybe a couple memories done today.

• Sure, no prob.

Also you have a tendency to translate "koko" as "this place" but I think that "here" feels more nature and has same meaning.

• omg your signature

• Agreed! You should never try to pander to one group of induvisiuals- because then it no longer becomes your project.

• And don't even get me started on the marketing for those kind of games... >_>
MM is based on Japanese childhood fairytales? Huh. Never knew that.

I agree. While I think accepting ideas from the fanbase is always good (look at developers like Insomniac or Bungie/343 Industries) , they shouldn't do so to the point of making it an imitation of something it isn't.

• I like to think it applies to games like, or try to be like Call of Duty which focus way too much on "shooty shooty band death kill gritty gritty blood secret agent baklkfj", compared to games like, say Halo or Mass Effect which actually tell a story without being a generic shooter game.

•
Ah I see. Its just that people use that now as proof that the media they like is good. Whether movies, music, or whatever. Its quite common. I'm not even sure people know exactly what they mean by "dark" anymore. Its just the cool new thing now. Does it mean serious? Morbid? Low lighting?

Don't forget "edgy" !

• I'll remember that. Thank you!

• If I may ask, where did you learn japanese? I want to learn it, but I don't know where to go for it. My college doesn't offer it.

Posted by NeonGreenSheep

• Here regarding Legends Alliance. This is the place where your questions should go.

• My apologies, but I do not have such one in possession. You are better served to optain a ROM of the japanese Majora's Mask. I am pretty sure that you have already asked the guys on Legends Alliance, otherwise you wouldn't have come to me, yes?
Yamikawa could also give you a hand.

• Ah, okay.
Just wanted to ask about that :) hope you can get everything down pat!

Posted by Windra

• Alrighty, thanks for the info. Good luck! Zelda games seem like the hardest to translate.

Posted by Windra

• Hey, do you have any intentions on translating more JP text in other Zelda games? I'd like to see you take on TP, as that game had some changes.

•
I just don't like how people act so elitist on here, and think other people's opinions are wrong & feel the need to argue their opinion to prove it somehow wrong. And people treat the games like they're political boundaries or something and blindly take a side and talk nothing but shit about certain games while praising the games they took side to like its god or something.

I'm like; "its just a video game people. And people are entitled to their opinion whether you like it or not." Lol

People not like that are cool on my watch. :heavy:
.-.
am I cool enough?

• It could be the case indeed: knowing the long story of Japanese importing Chinese stuff...

Unfortunately, my knowledge of Chinese is very limited and I find it harder than Japanese (and it is) so I get lost whenever I end up in a Chinese site: I might recognize some loose characters but that's all.

• Well. Unfortunately, trying to search "mujura" online only lead me to the game and walkthrough / FAQ pages.

Guess I'll have to use another criteria to search.

Posted by Yamikawa

• Yes, I'd seen it. I'm trying to have a quick look around to see if there's anything.

Posted by Yamikawa

• Yeah. I was getting that feeling too, seeing your recent posts in some topics.

I could try to investigate sources to see if there's any significance to some of the events portrayed in-game like the festival, the masks and such.
