I just posted my thoughts on the final game in the RE thread. SPOILERS: I love it. What do you think?

Thanks! Glad you're enjoying it. RE2 classic is my favorite in the series, so I'm glad the remake got so much love. If RE3make gets a remake this good, then the RE remake trilogy will probably go down as the greatest game trilogy ever.

I think I might still prefer the first remake slightly over this one, but I am not sure, both are excellent.

I agree. It's hard to top REmake. I consider it a perfect game. RE2make is great, but it's more of a reimagine than a remake. I don't think it's definitively better than classic RE2, but they compliment each other well.

Yes. Yes, I have. It's... like, in my top favorite games of all time. It's design is flawless as far as I can tell. It's up there with Super Metroid, in my opinion.

The first thing I thought of was Sonic '06. It'll no doubt be better than that game, but to me, it's clear that Nintendo is creatively bankrupt with Mario. "For the next game... Mario is.... uh, he ends up in the real world!" That's the impression I got from the trailer, anyway. Good for them for going with the SM64/Sunshine design style again, though.

I'm excited. I don't know if I like the look of the real world city and humans, but the platforming and open-ended possibilities of a sprawling metropolis are pretty awesome. The more fantastical levels in that last trailer looked bitchin'. I really love the Mexican-themed village. I think it has the potential to be just as monumental as Mario 64 and the first Galaxy were.

Hopefully! Mario could use a game like that, but my interest in Mario series is pretty dead now. I am happy this Mario game actually gives the worlds you explore context instead of being lazy and making everything a floating world with clean, geometrically perfect floating platforms and hills.

I don't know. There's no way to track time in the game, but I keep saying 30 hours.

BotW is my dream Zelda game. It's what I wanted from TP, but goes far beyond anything I could have expected. The stuff I'm seeing with the physics engine really changes everything. We'll be experimenting and finding new things for years. Damn... I can't wait. I can't focus on anything else but Zelda, haha! Are you in the same boat at me?

RE7 is a great game. I enjoyed it a lot, but it's biggest flaw is being called Resident Evil 7. It could have been the beginning of a great new horror franchise. The references to past games are probably the worst part of the game, and it took me out of the experience every time I saw a reference to RE.

Yeah, I'm going to actively try to stay away from any more trailers and gameplay to avoid trailers. The last one was enough! It told me everything I needed to know. And about Sunday, that may just work. I'm trying to get my work schedule changed so I don't work Sundays anymore anyway.

Eh, I gotta disagree. I find it too basic and repetitive. Controlling Sora also feels super sluggish to me.

really? haha i gotta disagree too but to each their own. I reallyl ove the feel of the combat--especially in 2 when you can jsut transition to aerial combat and pull of crazy finishers.

Definitely! Not only is it the best remake ever made, it's one of the greatest games of all time! Since RE2 is my favorite of the original PSone trilogy, I can't wait to see how RE2make looks. I hope it gets the same attention and care that the first one got.

I hope they do a good job but its hard to have confidence in capcom these days. I played RE2 for the first time last year and it was awesome still holds up pretty well imo
