  • Happy birthday, dear Farorian :)

    Posted by Moriquendi

  • finished michiko to hatchin!

    Posted by Lucretia

    • Yeah!! What did you think?

      Posted by Calypso

    • very feminist story! like literally a story all about women and how they put up with each other. there were a few episodes in the middle that had me kinda ehhhh well alright... bored me a bit just because it felt like the characters weren't progressing fast enough. but overall i super loved it, especially the music holy fuck. ALSO THAT THEY CHANGE CLOTHES. my god i hate how characters always wear the same clothes and in this they like CHANGE CLOTHES. good. also it was good they didn't fall back on easy story telling tropes at the end you know. like it didn't work out predictably happily ever after but in an honest to the characters and the myth of prince charming way.

      Posted by Lucretia

    • Yeah, I think they thought that they would get to have more episodes hence the uneven pacing and a few plot holes, but unfortunately Japanese people don't have an interest in anything but high school love stories about japanese people (kidding, but not) so they had to wrap up the series much faster than anticipated. But I loved at the end how it ended up being about the motherly love between Michiko and Hatchin, and how in the end the guy she was idealizing this entire time was a deeply flawed person.

And yeah, the bossa nova and the clothes <3 Glad you liked it though!

    Posted by JPineapple

    • Amazing. No words, except for amazing.

      Posted by Calypso

    • Hah! Its nice we can finally end the VA debate for Zelda. Im actually super happy Nintendo had the balls to do it.

      Posted by JPineapple

  • Bon courage demain!

      Posted by Calypso

      Posted by Canyarion

    • Eh ben, c'est bien ! tu visites la France souvent ? En tout cas ton français est très bien :)

      Posted by Calypso

    • Thanks... sometimes I make small mistakes, sometimes I have to check some words online. :P I visit maybe once a year, or once in two years. Où as-tu appris ton anglais?

      Posted by Canyarion

  • Hiya! Thank you for the answer in the Nintendo thread ~ is the link right? It wouldn't work for me.

    Posted by Jehanne

  • Thanks for your comment in the ZUer of the Week thread. U rock~

  • Look at my xcom ybrea

    Posted by interestingdrug

  • Hello. I don't beleive we've ever spoken or crossed paths. I tend to follow some of the Zelda sections threads though and have seen you post there from time to time. But, what brings me here is that, you said ... something in the ZUer of the week thread that struck me a little and kind of compelled me to send a hello your way. So, yeah ... hello! I'm blackbird, though people call me bb

    Posted by blackbird

    • Hello, how are you? Just curious, what was it I said that compelled you?

      Posted by Calypso

    • I am good! Yourself? And, it was this: "(inch'allah)" . It surprised me a little. Things like that do stand out to me, and ... I'm not sure if we have much in common from what I've seen on ZU (And I mean no disrespect in saying, it's just an observational thing). But yeah, after that I thought the least I could do was introduce myself. It's one word, but it packs a lot of meaning behind it...

      Posted by blackbird

    • Ah, cool. Do you happen to be Arabic/Muslim?

  • If I saw you on a bus, I'd probably walk past you very closely so I could sniff you, but I'd sit two seats back and on the other side.

    Posted by interestingdrug

    • If I saw you on a train, I'd probably waft my fumes toward you, which would then cause you to lose all control of your bowels creating a Slip n' Slide for all of the passengers.

      Posted by Calypso

    • These both assume I'd ever use public transport lmao. I'm not a prole. You really should preface every post with [speaks smell-illy.]

      Posted by interestingdrug

    • No my friend...you are not a prole, but you are British. And for this, you have an inherent need for smelly company. You desire to join me and my smelly ranks, but you don't know how to attain the ultimate level of smelly-ness

      Posted by Calypso

  • I've forgotten what you look like. And I never see you around no mo'.

    Posted by tallgeese

    • I hang out only in farore now. I mostly lurk tho. I never see you around neither!

      Posted by Calypso

  • Happy birthday to you :) I hope you're having a great December day and that you're getting in the mood for the holidays^^

    Posted by Moriquendi

    • Thanks Mori! I wish December was a lot colder than it is now, but at least it's fairly sunny :) I could use a bit of your Norwegian snow to improve my holidays, though!

      Posted by Calypso

    • Not much snow to brag about here either, I'm afraid. It's been mild for about two weeks now, I think.

      Posted by Moriquendi

  • Sending belated hugs and thoughts...from the news it doesn't sound like things back to normal yet, but I hope you and your family are still recovering okay. :c

    Posted by Vynrah

    • Thanks Vynrah...the mood has been very solemn here, and a lot of people are nervous. I myself am a little nervous, as I have a flight to St Petersburg, Russia this Tuesday, but...oh well. We can't control fate. I'm just grateful nobody I knew directly was affected by the recent attacks.

      Posted by Calypso

    • How are you doing now? Hope you're well.

      Posted by interestingdrug

    • i'm okay...everyone is in a strange mood. I'm going on a trip to russia tuesday which I'm mildly nervous about, but life goes on. How is England handling everything? I have no idea how the rest of Europe is reacting.

      Posted by Calypso

  • Hey, are you ok? Please answer me, if you read this.

    Posted by DasSchwert

    • Hey, I'm fine, just in shock. Have to stay in

      Posted by Calypso

    • What has the world become...I feel so sorry for you. I am afraid because I think, that this will take place in Germany, too.

      Posted by DasSchwert

    • We can't predict anything, unfortunately. We can't live in fear, either. That's the goal

      Posted by Calypso

  • thinking of you

  • i wanted to post on your wall but i'm too tired to be interesting so 8====3

    Posted by interestingdrug

    • That is actually very interesting. The detail is quite shocking considering the limitations of a keyboard.

      Posted by Calypso

    • 8====3 ~ 0: (what i heard you were up to last night)

      Posted by interestingdrug

    • no sadly, I was just eating quiche :( This is what you were up to, though 8===3 CC

      Posted by Calypso

  • in reply to your last query: "yes".

    Posted by interestingdrug

  • AAYYYYY, which Metal Gear rising game is your avvy from?

    Posted by Bruce

    • It's fan-art from the first one. I actually didn't really care for the final product, but I do like Raiden.

      Posted by Calypso

    • Yea the game itself looked quite awesome. I was thinking about giving it a try, but if it's anything like Metal gear solid I'll most likely dislike it. I was just wondering if you'd recommend it?

      Posted by Bruce

    • Well, it's nothing like Metal Gear Solid. The only similarity is that it shares one (well, two technically) characters from the main franchise

      Posted by Calypso

  • I just wanted to let you know that I did see that picture you posted in my thread (it's basically my thread) and I did report it, and I will also report any replies to this notification. Good day.

    Posted by interestingdrug

    • Um ok well I'll have you know that I am actually WAY more oppressed than you, being 1/4 dragon-kin, 1/16th pizza slut, 5/24th Cherokee, autistic, and pansexual. So you're actually discriminating against me and my choices right now, thus I'll be reporting you to the mods.

      Posted by Calypso

    • of course you're pansexual -- you chose the most oppressive of the cooking instruments. You are scum.

      Posted by interestingdrug

    • okay you are seriously triggering me so bad right now, you're being extremely intolerant by using "scum" as a derogatory word. Did scum choose to exist in its current state? You're a scum-shaming shitlord.

      Posted by Calypso

  • oh, it's really intolerant. Like, soo lame. They all wear wavy garms every day and, like, whatever, that's cool, it's your look, but I wore my "Pizza Slut" T ONCE and I'm like, on death row or some crazy shit.

    Posted by interestingdrug

    • Dude, that's effed up. But like, are you actually a Pizza Slut or do you just like wearing t-shirts saying you are? Because if not then that's appropriation and extremely disrespectful of the Pizza Sluts, since I am actually 1/16th pizza slut

      Posted by Calypso

    • Um well, I'm not a pizza slut, but the t-shirt is actually a comment on cultural appropriation because i'm wearing it ironically so I don't mean it, but it's also sincere because ironic garms were 2k8 to 2kLATE so I'm re-contextualising the message to be non-ironic, so it's like, post-ironic/metaironic or some shet.

      Posted by interestingdrug

    • Oh okay, for a minute I thought you were some sort of cis-scum and was about to tell you to check your cis-white-male-hetero-human privilege. But if you're a transracial pizza slut, I can accept that. Omg btw i was so triggered today, some shitlord was walking his dog on a leash and as a dog-kin, I really hate the oppression leashes represent. I bit him in the ballz

      Posted by Calypso

  • Oh, that sounds perfect to me. I love clouds and rain :P

Yeah, it's getting into the high 90s sometimes here. Just walking 10 minutes through campus to my classes can feel like a small trip through a desert.

I saw you made the move successfully! I'm glad to hear that.
