• Hello, old friend! How's life?

Posted by EzloSpirit

• It's been far, far too long, how're you?!

I've been good! Just finished uni and started work as a certified adult™. Overall pretty good, if not super busy overall! Yourself?

Posted by raex

• Yay, we're old now! Congrats on reaching adulthood!

I'm doing alright! Started uni myself over five years ago, flunked out, and started almost from scratch. Finally gonna get my degree in May. Then...grad school. School doesn't end for me. Ever.

• I might go and do a masters myself...I know the feeling then haha.

What're you studying in? I'm a design student so I'm learning/working mostly in Interface design really! It actually started here when I used to make sigs and icons for ZUers back in the day LOL.

Well, you're almost done this step, so one step at a time. You'll get there <3

• Oh, that sounds like fun! I vaguely remember you doing that for people, too. You should pop into the new (well, 8-month-old) Creative Corner forum and grace us with your more recent stuff!

I'm studying "information systems," though my actual desire is to go into library science, which is pretty much only at the masters level. Nerds rule!

Posted by EzloSpirit

• Nerds rule the world, to be fair! Do people still frequent here or are discords more popular nowadays? Might be the latter but no idea.

I'm more of a UX Architect thing, so I'm mostly making wireframes and outlaying where buttons and stuff should go instead of more visual items, that's a good idea though...

Is that some sort of data science? Sounds pretty cool nonetheless. We tech nerds gotta stick together :P

• Freaking sweet avatar. Is that Walter White?
And also - freaking hilarious profile pic. I like The Office, but the last couple seasons have been kinda... meh. I feel like it went downhill after Jim and Pam got married.

Posted by Judith

• Thanks! I just got caught up with the new season; pretty pumped.

Posted by Holden

• I saw that a few weeks back. I thought it was pretty good.

Are you still in high school?

Posted by Jaime Lannister

• I just go on the internet and shit. Not really much to do around here sadly.

Well that's good, at least it'll be healed soon enough.

Posted by Jaime Lannister

• It'd be pretty sweet if you read it, yeah.

I've always felt that way. Even in high school, but like a few days before going back I wish it was the beginning of summer again.

Just wondering. I mostly hear of 'em being on one's ass.

Posted by Jaime Lannister

• Through Facebook and tumblr, plus ZU. Hopefully that'll be enough to get it out there.

It's been a nice break, though I'm kinda looking forward to getting back to classes. Even if it means walking an hour to school and an hour back M-F.

A cyst? Was it on your ass.

• No luck with the agents so I'm gonna self publish on Amazon in like a week or two, actually. College is starting up again and in about a year I'll have my AA degree and be halfway through it. Not much else aside from that.

• Haha. Michael Scott. Funny. I love that show.

• copypaste,

basically, in the last week of high school the main character (Alex Cassian) gets caught smoking weed. Cops decide to let his family punish him and he just gets off with a warning. His parents are abusive alcoholics who beat and disown him. After graduation, he lives with one of his three best friends from high school. Things are fine (he works at McDonald's, roommate at a K-mart), until Alex gets jumped by some straightedge kids.

Kyle (his roommate) freaks out and moves out. Alex is left barely getting by, until one of the other best friends convinces him to sell cocaine to make ends meet. Things start looking up.... but of course, that doesn't last.

In a way, you could say that Alex is me, but much more impressionable and sheltered. Throughout the book he becomes introduced to things like gender inequality, drug addiction, homosexuality, financial distress, an eye-opening to society in general.

It's called A Day in the Life. And yeah, 'tis a Beatles reference.

• As long as I'm not using it, you can use it, haha.

• indeed, I sure am.

i have two more chapters of my book left to write, hopefully going to finish it tomorrow. then onto the editing and trying to find a publisher.

• HI RAEX
It's been ages indeed! :D I'm good, preparing for university nowadays. How are you? :3

Posted by Nesi

• And this is the second time, too. Do you like it that much?

Posted by tallgeese

• Dude, no. My avatar? Really?

Posted by tallgeese

• I'm doing decent. Studying first year in uni, actually. Life's good.

• Did you at least get comments back on the essay saying what was wrong with it? Because it seems strange that it would make your grade drop that much, unless if your teacher doesn't have that much in the system to base the grade off of already.

Linear Algebra. I thought it would be fun (Linear) and easy (Algebra), but I was wrong. So so so wrong. I'm pretty sure there isn't a summer option for that class, but I could fit it into my spring schedule. It would be pretty hectic, but it would still be better than nothing.

Aaaah! Ok. I'm going to add you as soon as I can <3
