We haven't had one of these in a while, but in reaction threads you can just give your immediate reaction to an event, updates and just general chit chat about what's happening. Think of it in the same way as E3 threads, you can't just spam, but at the same time you don't need to have posts that live up to a typical non-War Room thread.

This thread will be used for general reactions to what is happened on Midterm day on Tuesday, so until then go vote and I'll open this in a couple of days!

Indiana results are coming in now, Donnelly is losing by 25 points with 1% reporting (but none of Indianapolis is in and these are all rural counties, so take that as you will)

1 precinct in western Indiana has 48% Donelly, 40% for the libertarian candidate (Lucy Brenton), and 11% for Braun lmao - less than 200 votes total so it may not mean anything, but it is interesting

Kentucky's 6th district that was seen as one of the ones to watch, which Andy Barr won by 22 points in 2016. Has 1% reporting and Amy McGrath is winning by 9%. Not yet a significant % reporting. But a 31 point swing... damn son!

Now losing by 0.1%. This is fun to follow

In a few minutes Florida and Georgia's polls close and then we'll get a better sense of what's happening, but its exciting and nerve racking!

Down by a little more now, but it may not include Lexington which I'm sure will sway it heavily toward McGrath

Honestly I think McMurray has a REALLY good chance. I have not seen a Collins lawn sign - even in the usual grouping of Republican candidates - and seen plenty of McMurray signs. If we get Collins I’m going to be PISSED.

Florida has started coming in Rick Scott is currently ahead 52-48... Still less than 1 percent, but considering this is the result without any big cities reporting yet, its encouraging.

I really appreciate how NYT has already reported Bernie Sanders as winning despite there being no polling data for Vermont so far (yes I'm too lazy to use imgur sue me). If he does become our next president Vermont's definitely gonna try and find a way to also keep him in the Senate.

I'm a little concerned when I see Monroe County currently going for Nelson, but not Gillum

Okay, Seminole County is currently going for Gillum which is becoming more encouraging, it's a swing county like Monroe

Very positive news: though it is at 3% reporting Amendment 4 (measure to automatically restore voting rights to felons who have served their time) is currently leading 62% to 38%

Gillum and Nelson are both up by about 2%. and with 49% reporting McGrath is still ahead.

I was a bit worried for a bit, but the numbers are starting to turn Democratic as the bigger cities start reporting.

Also in 20 minutes, Beto vs Beta begins!

The polls have officially closed in multiple states across the east coast, including mine! Now the fun really begins.

Subbing for now, hopefully I'll be able to keep an eye on things. I'll be at work all night though. Good luck America!

Whisper of a dream..

I know it's with 1% reporting and is unlikely to last, but to see that blue tint on Texas for the Senate race is one of the most elating things I have seen so far tonight.

Donnelly is a disgrace and hopefully this is the end of Democrats running as Republicans, he's basically Mark Pryor, the former Arkansas senator who lost in 2015 badly because he was almost literally thumping people with his bible and spouting Republican talking points in his ads. And I mocked him greatly for it.
