Oh, I archived a bunch of ZU stuff a long time ago. I've lost portions of it, but there are still plenty of things left on my hard drive.

Holy shit. I noticed Cody's second email because I happened to check my Junk folder for the first time in years (the first email had already been deleted). I'd almost forgotten about this place, the forum I spent the second half of my teen years on. I don't remember a lot of names, but I remember a lot of avatars. The Serious Discussion forum was where I spent most of my time, and judging by comments on my profile I had a reputation for being a bit of an asshole. Good times.

Reading through Anime_Queen's post brings up some memories. I remember GDwarf/John, I think I was even around when he changed his name, and I'm sure we had some back-and-forths in Serious Discussion that really challenged my way of thinking, the logic of my thinking, and I can't thank him enough for that, though I couldn't for the life of me tell you what topics we would have been discussing. Lord Zero and 8bit were two others I debated with often and similarly challenged me. Well, there were a lot of Serious Discussion warriors, just don't ask me to remember any more names! Nonetheless, I appreciate all the intellectual exercise you all offered. You don't get that on Reddit or YouTube.

Sheesh, I remember staying up late in the chat waiting for the website redesign to go live. Basically the one that introduced the current graphics, though layout has changed a bit since then. There was so much hype, webmasters were saying it was a $7000 redesign that was going to look better than any other fansite... and it's still damn pretty.

I remembered ZU back when we got a ZUer named Link-on! who keeps being off-and-on in ZU. Also, another ZUer named A Missing Link.

I remember ZU when we were all donating in order to create the new site redesign. Feels like ages ago now, I remember people giving out patron tags in their profile for it! I always regretted not donating because that tag was clout central.

I don't think I was ever a very active ZU member, though I got your email so thought I may as well check out my old posts.

Apparently someone in Nayru clan set up an online quiz tournament that ran daily, automatically, back in 2005. Most people played for a few months. I kept playing it for five years after everyone else stopped... I'm not quite sure what that says about me. Or what the fact that I can't even really remember doing it says about my memory! Maybe I got a new computer in 2011 and lost the bookmark.
