How old are your kids? I have 2 sons with my ex-wife, 11 and 8, and now a 1,5yo daughter with current wife. Trying to survive in full time job in foreign language, with shifts.
It's hard, but doable

My son is 8 and my daughter will be 5 in a couple days. Life definitely keeps me busy.

you do get used to it. I'm lucky enough that I have a desk job. While the work itself isn't tiring the getting up early and being out all day is. Add raising two young children into the mix and that's a whole new level of exhaustion lol.

Thankfully, I don't have any kids. The job is a cooking position at a university meaning I'm on my feet for literally 7 hours straight unless I take a break.

Again, I'm not complaining (fucking needed this job), but I knew I would miss staying up and sleeping in but not this much.

@Keyaki working full time is way easier when you aren’t in school! Also not sure if you have a set schedule but that helps too!

@Keyaki just a piece of advice, invest in some high quality shoes and be prepared to replace those badboys every year (in my case, 3-6 months, I'm very hard on my heels though). Your feet and your back will thank you. (I'm a cook, standing in a kitchen all day totally kills the body). Congrats on the job, and I feel for you!

Oh I just left a job like that. Insoles were immensely helpful. I also tried to stretch my legs and back out whenever I could.
