Boomerangs curve toward Link as he moves while the boomerang is in play.

I have yet to test the outer bounds of this but I'm curious to see what would happen on horseback.

I actually think Mety did that by accident, and the boomerang flew behind him slightly.

Did you know that if you swing your sword, then charge, Link charges the sword on the other side of himself.

The Ancient Shield is great for shield surfing. It will glide on slopes that other shields won't. I always carry one just for surfing.
Edit: oh wait, that's probably why you were talking about the shield here? Because the first post of this page talks about it.

Here's a secret.

You know that music that plays before you get the map. Maybe you do maybe you don't. You probably weren't paying attention.

Anyway, that very music contains, somewhere within its harmonic depths, the morse code for SOS.

This seems to indicate that whatever AI was left of the divine beasts after they were taken over was furiously broadcasting for help.

There are these huge stacks of wood near stables, seemingly decoration. Swing an ax into them and they'll turn into 4-6 piles of wood though.

If you watch or skip a cutscene, Stamina and Rune recharge immediately resets. This means you can double Stasis or Insta-bomb by skipping through a memory. It can be used in mid air while Stasis-launching to fly super fast.

Also, I haven't tested it, but if you throw a boomerang as high as it can go, immediately go forward then to the left. The boomerang should start spinning around you in circles, slowly shrinking. You can walk around and it will keep revolving around with you as the centre. Be careful of the boomerang hitting something, or the physics engine will stop it.
Apparently it can also be achieved by riding quickly on a horse, throwing the boomerang, not catching and jumping off the horse just after it flies past. Take care not to hit your horse though!

Also goes for does and stags. You need to be riding a stag for one of the shrine quests, in fact.


Not like a horse though. You temporarily mount them and stab them in the back until they throw you off. As this does not reduce your weapon durability, it's the way players can defeat the White Lynel on the Great Plateau in Master Mode without having their strongest weapon break.

There are 119 wild horse colors not counting Epona, the white horse and the giant horse.

1 of those is identical to Link's old horse from trailers, cutscenes and the rider amiibo.
You'll need the amiibo exclusive bridle and saddle to complete the look, though.

By "colors" I mean a unique combination of mane color, coat color, hooves and pattern.
