    War Declared:

    Troops:
    1000 Light Infantry
    500 Armored Infantry
    1000 Archers
    300 Light Cavalry
    100 Bombers

    Descriptions:
    Display Spoiler

Armored Infantry: Footsoldiers in armor. They move slower than normal infantry, but have greater defense. Wield swords with a heavy shield, or a heavy 2-handed sword.

Light Infantry: Footsoldiers with leather armor on. Move and fight much quicker than their armored counterparts, but have less armor. Capable of wielding virtually any weapon competently, save ranged.

Archers: Humans who are good with a bow. They have short swords at their belt in case of close combat. They are stealthy and capable soldiers, with a keen eye capable of shooting just about anything.

Light Cavalry: Lightly armored horse, with a light infantry unit atop it.

Bombers: Helper units. Stay behind the actual fighting, tend to wounded during/after battle. Wield knives when encountering enemies.

Majora: Can float 5-10 meters in the air indefinitely.

    Powers

    Dark Stab:

Majora utilizes spikes jutting out of it's body to impale enemy units. Six spikes can come out at any given time, and there is a thirty second cool down between each spike's use.

    Dark Force:

Majora can emit this attack one every two hours (twice per day); it results in units in 100 meters not aligned with it to become frightened/fearful of it, severely impacting their ability to fight for up to a minute. Slight chance to force some soldiers to retreat completely, but they'd regain composure 150 meters away from Majora and could return to battle.

    Dark Shield:

Majora can create a shield crafted out of pure, dark energy that allows nothing but dark magic through it. This shield can span 15 meters in total, and is most useful against ranged attacks, however it can be used in instances to protect against melee as well. It takes thirty seconds to erect a shield, and Majora can hold it in place for five minutes without needing to erect a new one unless it is broken by an extremely forceful attack. If the shield goes down after a full five minutes have passed, Majora has a five minute cooldown period before it can be reinstated. If a shield is broken by force, then it will take thirty minutes for the cooldown period to end.

Reinforce Clock Town [4/12] -- Clock Town will be reinforced with a perimeter of steel spikes, ~20 yards from it's walls, and stone barracks erected within these. Areas for horses should be made as well. The gates will be reconstructed of reinforced steel. Clock Tower will also be reinforced** Atop the walls, stone fortifications will be made with arrow slits inside this new part of wall.

**Series of steel gates and spikes throughout the tower, ramparts on the roof above the final door. A second wall will be erected outside of the first; it will be extremely fortified. In between the two walls will be room for camps for my soldiers. At the top of the wall be places for cannons to rest, towers, and places for archers to shoot under cover. • A deal has been struck.. one that may alter the fate of this war. I cannot go into the details now, but it is something.. preventative in nature. Something that can help further the Clock's Will in this long, drawn out war.

As I write, our soldiers march north, and there they shall stay for weeks to come. They could be called home at a moment's notice, yes, but for now, they are there for the preservation of.. peace? Or maybe, they are simply there so that the Clock has eyes in more places. Regardless of the reason, I have sent our soldiers forth.. and surely victory shall be achieved.

--Excerpt Two from the Memoirs of the Lord of the Clock

Note: An undisclosed number of my units have moved into Zoraluigi's territory as part of a "diplomatic unity" mission. The details of this mission will not be disclosed, nor will the composition or number of my units (I have screenshots I can provide at a later date). Just know that I do, from this moment on, have units in the territory controlled by ZL.

Also note that he OK'd it so I'm not attacking him or anything LOL

  • Week 4 Attack

    Troops:

    • 100 Bees
    • 150 Spikes
    • 200 Desbreko
    • 50 Shell Blades
    • 1000 Gerudo Warriors
    • 500 Gerudo Thieves
    Preparation
The Gerudo Warriors will break off into 2 war parties of 800 and 200, the larger party taking the Spikes and Shell Blades. The Shell Blades will each carry as many Spikes inside them as they can, the Gerudo will hold onto the rest of them.

The smaller party will join the Gerudo Thieves who will be carrying going with the Desbreko and Bees on a separate mission.

    Mission One

The first party will be storming the Marine Research Center by boat and attempting to take it over through shock and awe tactics. If they are attacked from below, they will drop the Shell Blades into the water, who will then release the Spikes out at the nearest attacker. Once the Spikes are released, the Shell Blades will clamp onto the nearest not incapacitated enemy and restrict their movements for the Gerudo Warriors to stab with their spears.

If they can make it inside the Research Center, the Gerudo Warriors will throw the remaining Spikes at any enemies they find within, being especially wary of the pit of water in the back. Once they are certain their are no enemies, they will watch the door and kill any enemies that enter.

This mission will be counted as a failure and an all out retreat will be called if they are:

    • Unable to make it to the Research Center
    • An enemy troop count twice their size meets them
    • 50% of the Warriors are killed

    Mission Two

The second party will be utilizing the first party as a distraction to sneak into Zora Cape via the rear entrance. If there are guards, the Bees will be released to distract them or force them into the water, where the Desbreko will be waiting for them. If the Desbreko are otherwise occupied with aquatic enemies, the guards will be stabbed by the Gerudo Warriors. Half of the Gerudo Warriors will then watch for enemy movement or any signs of the battle from the other party coming to a close.

The Gerudo Thieves will be entering the Cape and searching for any schematics they can steal. They will stick to the shadows and try to avoid being spotted if at all possible. If spotted, or an enemy is found, they will attempt to take them out with minimal fuss. Should an alert of intruders go out, the Gerudo will abandon the plan of stealth and try to finish whatever room they are in before charging out of the back entrance to escape with whatever they found.

Schematics found will be distributed between various Gerudo Thieves so that not all are with the same Thief and at least one can be taken back to base.

This mission will be counted as a failure and an all out retreat will be called if they are:
    • Unable to find any schematics
    • The Hero Unit spots them and forces combat in a disadvantageous position
    • An alert is sent out before they can search a single room
Should any schematics be found and is within a Thief's possession during a retreat, priority will be given to protecting said Thieves' lives.

    Shell Blade: 100
    Octorock: 50
    Desbreko: 100

Deep Pythons are split up into underwater guards and patrols. Two groups of ten crowd around each entrance while six groups of five swim around the perimeter. If something is seen above or below the water, all Deep Pythons in the area will crest above the water and roar, alerting both the other Deep Pythons in other areas and the Zora standing alert directly at both entrances. The Deep Pythons patrolling the waters near the other entrance will continue to patrol and not join in the defense, but those swimming between entrances will go to the closest entrance where an alert was sounded. If the detected intruder is below the water line, the Deep Pythons will charge at the swimming target from multiple directions. If the intruder is above the water line, the Deep Pythons will attack from directly below in hopes of capsizing any vessels. Given the choice, Deep Pythons will focus on enemies above the water in hopes of dragging them into the water.

Defensive strategies for other units differ between entrances. The submerged entrance has ten Like likes standing under the archway leading up to the entrance. Fifty Shell Blades are positioned immediately outside and inside the entrance ready to snap at those who enter their Domain. Desbreko skulk the waters above the Like Likes to pick off the enemies they spit out and protect them while they are in the middle of their attack. Zora are still stationed here, but in fewer numbers that at the other entrance. Instead of attacking with the rest of the submerged entrance protection, half of the Zora will swim inside to initiate the inner defensive procedures.

Defense of the above-water entrance relies on the combined efforts of Octorocks, Leevers, Deep Pythons, and Zora. The Deep Pythons and Octorocks focus on bringing above-water enemies down below the water’s surface where the Zora will stab them with their spears. Octorocks organize themselves into rows and fire their rocks on a one second delay from when the row in front of them resubmerge, making it so not all the rocks can be reflected back at once. Leevers will be stationed on land underground to pop up when enemies reach the shores in hopes of pushing them back into the water.

Upon word of a confirmed enemy sighting, the Zora stationed inside Zora Hall are instructed to hide all valuables inside of Shell Blades and throw them into the water around the clamshell stage (those holding items will remain closed and will not attack unless they are struck first). Empty Shell Blades are also thrown in as to draw attention away from the other Shell Blades. The Desbreko inside Zora Hall inhabit only the water around the clamshell stage to further defend the non-attacking Shell Blade and are instructed to attack in a single school formation, focusing on the face (if any) or soft regions of their collective target. The remaining forty Like Likes will stand precariously around the water’s edge. When they engulf an enemy, they will drop into the water to put the enemy at a disadvantage when spit out.

Most of the Zora portion of the defense will be stationed inside around both narrow hallways leading from either entrance. Should either defense near the entrance be broken, they will be forced into the narrow hallway on either side and then be picked off by Zora spears. Any remaining Leevers, if the above-water entrance defense breaks, will tunnel underground and attack the enemy from behind when they enter the hallway.

The Professor of the Marine Research Lab

Deep Pythons patrol the waters on all sides of the Marine Research Lab. Once an invasion force is sighted, the Deep Pythons will alert the rest of the Deep Pythons, Leevers, Zora, and Desbreko to get into position. The submerged Like Likes and Shell Blades are already in position. The Octorocks are in a spiral-like formation around all sides of the Marine Research Lab and will get into battle position (in alternating rows) upon alert of where the target is coming from. The Zora closest to the Marine Research Lab’s lower platform will begin to hoist up about a dozen Shell Blade before climbing up to the upper platform.

Upon sighting the attacking forces, a pigeon will be sent out to allied forces in the mountains north of the Pirate Fortress. This pigeon will fly in a path starting from the beach of the Great Bay curving around Gerudo Territory to enter the mountains unharmed.

The army is split into two main forces: those attacking from the direction of the Marine Research Lab and those rushing in from the deeper parts of the bay. The exception to this are the Like Likes, which are scattered about three feet apart from each other across the ocean floor to catch sinking enemies with more of them in the waters between the Marine Research Lab and the Pirate fortress as well as the shallows between the Marine Research facility and the shore.

Deep Pythons will attack from the deep ocean. They will form rows of fifty with these rows swimming between the rows in front instead of directly behind. The Deep Pythons will charge forward towards the shore as a unit to swell the waters behind them in hopes of knocking above water enemies into the ocean. Half the Zora forces will ride this swell to jettison themselves above the water to attack with their spears from above if the swell itself does not knock all enemies into the ocean. The Zora will finish their mid-air arc by diving into the water to attack again from below. After finishing their initial swell, Deep Pythons are instructed to swim towards the waters separating the Great Bay from the Pirate Fortress and continue attacking either remaining above-water enemies or submerged forces from behind, obstructing the assumed point of retreat and pushing the enemy towards the section of the army coming from the direction of the Marine Research Lab.

From the Marine Research Lab, Octorocks surround the waters immediately around the structure in all directions. Upon revealing the origin of attack, the Octorocks stationed on the opposite side of the Marine Research Lab will swim around through the deeper parts of the bay to join the Deep Pythons. Those on the sides of the structure will remain in place but direct their projectiles towards the invading forces. Octorocks, similar to the Deep Pythons, are also positioned in order to prevent Octorocks in the front from being smacked in the back of the head before they can dive under the waves again. Octorocks will still shoot on a one-second delay of the row in front of them to further negate this prospect and prevent shots from being reflected easily. Octorocks will first focus on knocking down above-water enemies then switch to those bobbing on the water’s surface. If enemies begin to get too close to the Marine Research Lab, Octorocks will dive to protect themselves and then attack the enemies on the platform under the Lab from behind.
As enemies hit the water, Desbreko will swarm them in organized schools of fifty each, preferentially attacking the face (if any) or other soft regions on their targets.

Shell Blade branch out across the ocean floor under and around the Marine Research Lab ready to charge at underwater intruders and push them towards the opposite defensive front.

From atop the ladder of the Marine Research Lab, the Professor fights back with the power of science. If enemy soldiers try to climb the ladder to get into the Lab proper, the Professor will begin by pouring fish oil down the ladder, making it slick and harder to scale. A small squad of Zora (about ten) are also stationed with the Professor on the ladder to stab those trying to climb up the ladder while they are vulnerable. In addition, a dozen Shell Blade were hoisted to the upper platform to be dropped onto those climbing the ladder. These will be implemented in tandem with the Zora attacking with their spears, and the dropped Shell Blade will then protect the lower platform by attempting to push invaders back into the ocean for the submerged Shell Blade, Desbreko, and Zora to deal with. Assuming the Shell Blade are rather heavy creatures, they will be unable to be hoisted up to the upper platform again once the battle makes it onto the lower platform.

If the ladder is scaled, the Professor is instructed to retreat into the Lab, secure the door, and prepare to strike those to break down the door with corrosive solvents, directing the attack at their faces to blind them. Remaining units attacking in the direction from the Marine Research Lab are to join the opposite force to prevent escape.

All Leevers guard the shore and work to push enemies into the water or back into the water. They wait under the ground until they detect an enemy on the shore, then attack in groups of ten by popping out of the ground under the enemies’ feet/grounded appendage followed by other Leever groups appearing slightly farther away to charge in the direction of the ocean.
  • Week 4 Attack on the Pirate's Fortress

    Troops:

    Solsetur:
    250 Archers
    200 Light Infantry
    50 Light Cavalry
    50 Heavy Infantry

    Zoraluigi:
    300 Dinolfos
    100 White Wolfos
    100 Wizzrobes

    Total: 1050

    Phase 0:

Zoraluigi and I will be in separate camps around 10 meters from one in another in the mountains facing Kol's territory, but decidedly in ZL's territory. We should be a few hours from Kol, all things considered. We will wait in our camps until we receive word that Kol has moved via pigeon from Don Saltine - we are not expecting an attack this week, our troops are stationed here as a precaution from Week 3 and beyond. Thus, we would be on alert constantly until pulled back from the mountains.

Once our soldiers are notified of his troops movements, we will advance towards his fortress.

    Phase 1:

Once we are there, we will take up defensive positions in the mountains. It's likely that he would have caught word of us coming by now, but we will be sniping patrols with Wizzrobe/Archer long ranged ability, as well as chasing them down with our Light Cavalry when applicable.

Our defensive positions will include a host of Heavy Infantry guarding the front, while the White Wolfos and Light Cavalry guard our flanks. The Dinolfos and Light Infantry will bring up the rear, with Wizzrobes and Archers in between them. Our goal is to set up this defensive position with a vantage point on the fortress; once this vantage point is established, our Wizzrobes/Archers will begin firing on the base.

Our goals with this are as follows:

    A) we will clear the walls of any soldiers that may be there

    B) we will pick off any troops that are not in cover

    C) we will force each unit into buildings, so that we may deal with them at a later time.

Our Archers and Wizzrobes will form 6 groups; each one will have 50 archers and 20 wizzrobes. They will exchange fire with a pause of about two seconds in between each group, and should pummel the fortress until it is evident that they can do no damage with ranged attacks.

After this, our White Wolfos and Dinolfos will leap onto the walls, and establish a point of entrance for our other units. They will hold a small portion of the wall from any infantry units, while our archers and wizzrobes provide support from their elevated position.

    Phase 2:

If our units are *not* engaged in the mountains, then our Light Infantry will fashion three ladders out of rudimentary materials that had been brought with them from camp. This whole process should take between thirty minutes to an hour. Once it is clear there is a point of entry, they will make their way down to the walls and use the ladders to get in. The Light Infantry will go first; the archers and wizzrobes will still be providing support from the rear, with my Light Cavalry and Heavy Infantry forming around them to protect them from any assaults.

Once this is taken care of, our ranged units, as well as the Heavy Infantry, will load up into the fortress. Our first step: Securing the walls. We will scour the tops of the walls looking for units to kill. Each Armored Infantry unit will be paired with three Light Infantry, as well as three archers and two Wizzrobes. Dinolfos and Wolfos will be paired together as well in a three to one ratio, as they have the most mobility out of the group.

Our units will be paired together, but groups of units should work together to take on any foes that arise. It will be rare that, on the walls, they are too far off from a dozen other groups. They should be able to get assistance at the drop of a hat. Wolfos and Dinolfos will be tasked with pinpointing resistance spots and jumping into conflict from the enemies rear

    Phase 3:

When the walls are secured, our ranged units will spread out along with our Armored Infantry, and face inwards. If they notice any non-allied units, they will shoot.

They will also be watching the seas for any reinforcements.

While this is happening, our remaining infantry units sans Armored, will go from building to building in the Fortress and clear it out. They should stick in groups and attempt to overwhelm the opponents with numbers (it's doubtful that all of them would be in the same building) as well as superior equipment. If they have to, they will attempt to draw them out of the buildings so that our ranged units can deal with them.

If all of their units are bunched up in an area that it is evident we couldn't knock them out without sustaining heavy losses, we will focus instead on securing the walls, gate, and outside of the fortress. We will not mess with the inside at all in this event. We will then keep a watch on the houses so we can see if they are trying anything, as well as watch the seas for any reinforcements. If reinforcements do come, we will unleash a wave of ranged attacks on them. Once they are defeated, we will resecure the perimeter, and wait for the units inside of the fortress to act.

    Scenario B)

If we are engaged in the mountains, before the pirate fortress, the following will happen:

    A) my Light Cavalry will be acting as outriders of sorts, and will immediately notify my units if they notice anyone coming. We will be sticking to the high ground as much as possible on our way back, to ensure we are not ambushed. Wizzrobes will teleport from ridge to ridge, checking them for opposing soldiers.

    B) We will be in a similar arrangement as before, with Dinolfos and Wolfos guarding our flanks, Armored Infantry pulling the front, Light Infantry to the rear and our ranged to the back.

If we are attacked, our Wizzrobes should immediately teleport to a vantage point within range, and begin firing immediately. Our archers will shoot when they can, while our Armored Infantry will set up a wall for the enemy to run into and die against; our Light Infantry can fill in gaps, and our Wolfos/Dinolfos/Light Cavalry will harass them from the sides if we are not being pressured from the sides.

If we are attacked from the sides, our Armored Infantry will fan out and our Light Infantry will join them; we should ideally have a ring around our units while Wizzrobes still take the high ground, my archers still fire on his units, and our Wolfos/Dinolfos leap in and out of their lines to harass them.

    Notes:

--If overwhelming reinforcements arrive, we immediately retreat (>50% of his original force that left)

--If, when we see his units returning, we cannot overwhelm them with our ranged attacks and they risk breaching the fortress, we cut our losses and immediately retreat into the mountains

--If any reinforcements arrive before we hold the walls, we retreat

--If we lose more than 50% of our units, we retreat
  • The chamber was silent except for the crackling of burning logs in the fireplace in the corner. The flames threw shifting and dancing shadows along the walls, which were covered in rich tapestries and paintings depicting famous battles throughout history. Thermopylae, Gettysburg, Waterloo, Lexington and Concord, Iwo Jima, and so on and so forth.

Facing the fire was a large, comfortable, faux-leather armchair and in the chair sat a figure, dressed in luxurious robes and a tall pointed hat. They were reading a book, slowly leafing through the pages in the quiet solitude. The figure reached for a small round cup on the sidetable standing next to the chair. They brought the cup to their lips, tipped it, and then brought it back down and looked into the cup with a disappointed frown. Just then, there was a knocking at the door.

The door to the chamber was a heavy oak door, with detailed carvings all around its frame. The brass fixtures rattled as the servant let themselves into the room without waiting for a response from the figure in the armchair. "War Master—!" the messenger began speaking before she had even crossed the threshold, but was interrupted by the figure.

"Oh good, Maiella, I was just about to send for you. I need more tea," the War Master said.

Maiella stood before the War Master, her simple and professional uniform of black and magenta slightly disheveled. She adjusted her hat and opened her mouth, but seemed unsure what to say.

"You see," the War Master continued, holding up their cup, "my cup is empty and I can't focus on my manga—"

"War Master Lysis," the messenger interrupted. "Excuse my interruption. I will get you more tea, but there are more pressing matters. A battle has been declared!"

The War Master looked at their wrist, where they were not wearing a watch, and said "What, already?" Then they shot up out of their armchair. "Excellent! Time to get to work then. Er...I am going to need that tea if I'm to get any work done, though."

Maiella nodded, handing Lysis the missive and then leaving the room to fetch more tea.

"Let's see, let's see..." Lysis said to themself, looking over the written message. "Pirate King Kol Gaines of the Desert Swimmers of Pirate Fortress declares war on Mob Don Saltine of the Freaky Fish Guys of Great Bay...mmhmm, mm...ah, yes, interesting..."

The War Master walked to the center of the room, where a large table was set up. They opened a small box and poured out a bunch of plastic game pieces resembling soldiers and began arranging them on the map. "Where to begin..."

    o--||====>

Major Tiana of the Fish Guys yawned. It was getting late and she was tired, but she had a duty to defend the Marine Research Laboratory from attack at all costs. The lantern by her side flickered as she continued to pass the time by writing a letter for her wife and child. Just as she was finishing up, the water below rippled and a large eel poked his head out of the bay.

"Private Finaldo, what's going on? Why aren't you on patrol?"

The giant sea snake growled a message, saying something about boats approaching from the north.

"Boats?" Tiana said. "Dozens of them? From the north? It must be...pirates!" Tiana quickly got to her feet and began sounding the alarm, getting her troops into position.

    o--||====>

Lieutenant Kuresa of the Desert Swimmers sat in the fore of her boat, scanning the horizon for any sign of the defense. As the commander of this mission, her boat was leading the fleet of fifty vessels into the fray. So far, all was quiet, but it didn't stay like that for long.

The laboratory in the distance was quickly growing nearer, and Kuresa noticed that there seemed to be a sudden bustle of activity. Lanterns were being lit, bells were being rung, people were shouting. "We've been spotted!" the lieutenant cried once she realized what was going on. "Damn, the Fish Guys must have had patrols under the water!"

"What do we do?" one of the soldiers in Kuresa's boat asked, hesitantly continuing to row.

"Keep advancing...we can't do anything at range, so we have to get up close as quickly as we can."

Just then someone shouted "Incoming!" as the water of the bay suddenly swelled beneath their boats.

"What the—!" Kuresa cursed as her boat rocked violently in the wave. She noticed several of the boats in her command capsize, either oveturned by the sudden swell or pushed over by the giant eels swimming through them, but she managed to keep her own vessel steady. "Drop the Shells!" she shouted, giving the signal just as hundreds of Zora soldiers shot out of the water and attacked the Gerudo from above.

Kuresa managed to use her cutlass to deflect a spear, running the Zora through on the backswing while the enemy soldier was diving back into the water. Blood spilled on the deck of her boat and she could hear her heart beating in her ears as the adrenaline of war pumped through her veins.

Below the water, the Shell Blades released a hail of Spikes, stunning the next wave of Deep Pythons, giving the Gerudo who were still on their boats a chance to fight back against them and the Zora. The Gerudo who were in the water found, to their horror, a few hundred skeletal Desbreko swimming among them ready to eat their flesh off. They stood little chance against their water-dwelling opposition.

Another shout broke through the sounds of the battle. "Incom—" The shout was cut short by the sound of a loud crunch as the Gerudo who noticed the hail of Octorock stones was pegged in the face with one. More Gerudo were knocked into the fish-infested waters by the flying stones and Kuresa, finally, decided to call it.

    "Retreat! Retreat!"

The fleet did its best to turn around and head back to the Pirate Fortress, but found they were cut off by Deep Pythons. "Push through it!" the lieutenant commanded. More boats were lost, pushed over by the giant sea snakes, but Kuresa managed to get many of them through and they retreated to their home base.

The Zora soldiers hanging out in the Hall, faces lit up by the glow of their smartphone screens, suddenly stood to attention and scrambled to put their phones away when their commanding officer entered the room banging a spoon against a pot. "Wakey wakey! Put away the Snapchat! It's official, the laboratory is under attack! I need you all on your highest alert!"

The crowd of soldiers began murmuring amongst themselves, saying things like "Are we really under attack?" and "This is exciting, I've never been in a fight before!" and "Those damn pirates better not come in here or I'm gonna...I'm gonna...they'll see!" They all stood tall and alert, just waiting to put their spears into something soft.

Meanwhile, outside, a small fleet of over forty boats sneakily approached the back entrance to the hall. Suddenly, a loud roar erupted from the Deep Pythons in the water. A Gerudo hissed "Take 'em out, take 'em out!" as the Desbreko began to attack the sea snakes, managing to hold back about half of them. The other half rushed at the pirate vessels from below, smashing and overturning several of them and dumping the Gerudo Warriors and Thieves into the water to contend with the Zora.

"Release the bees!" the Gerudo commander shouted, laughing maniacally, and a storm of bees drove the Octorocks under the water so that the pirates could pull their boats to the shore and climb out onto dry land. As soon as their feet touched the ground, however, Leevers burst from the sand. "Oh shit, fuck this! I think they know we're—" and he died without even screaming as a Zora stuck him through the throat.

Deciding that their super stealthy mission of five hundred thieves was compromised, the Gerudo retreated.

War Master Lysis stretched their back as they looked over the results of the game on the table and began to think out loud about the strategies employed by both sides. "Sure didn't seem like a good idea to send terrestrial soldiers up against a largely aquatic force...on the water...especially with no ranged attacks. Also, I'm not sure how five hundred thieves are supposed to sneakily approach and enter a heavily defended military base, especially one that's on high alert because their base is literally under attack already as a 'distraction'."

Lysis sighed and took a sip of their tea. "But that's just my thoughts, and who am I? Oh, that's right...I'm the War Master." Lysis put their signature on the official document declaring the victors and losses of war, rolled it up, and sealed it with a wax signet in the shape of a capital lambda. They then walked over to the window of the War Enclave, the massive base of operations floating above Termina, and tossed the scroll out, knowing it would certainly find its way to where it needed to go.

  • OOC:
    @Lysis

Sol and I discussed it, and with the results of this battle, it would trigger a retreat condition in his attack. So we figured that Phase 1 went off without a hitch.

So if you could be so kind as to run the numbers for that, we would appreciate it thank you.

This is also a confirmation of what Sol messaged you about.
  • Ensign Nerav was entranced by the looming form of the monolithic obsidian tower in the sky. She was used to seeing it there, just as much as the sun or the moon, but did it always loom so...threateningly? "Hey, Seaman Galena, does the Enclave seem especially...ominous today? Foreboding, perhaps?"

Galena just grunted in disinterest, preoccupied as she was with a Rubix cube, and then, after a moment, said "What did you just call me?"

But Nerav wasn't listening, because while she was watching the skies she noticed something unusual. It started out as a small speck, dropping out of the same part of the sky that the Enclave floated in, but over the next few minutes it grew larger and larger. "What is that?" she muttered to herself, as a sealed scroll suddenly bounced off her forehead and knocked her to the ground.

Groaning and rubbing the bruise on her head, Nerav picked up the scroll and stood back on her feet. Breaking the magenta wax seal, she began to read, but was interrupted by a shout in the distance. It was the Pirate Queen, Aveil.

    "Take cover!"

Nerav gasped and looked up in time to see a hail of arrows and fireballs descend upon the walls, felling many of her fellow soldiers. "Come on, Galena, we have to get to cover!" the ensign said, grabbing Galena's shoulder.

"But I'm almost..." Galena said, dropping the Rubix cube as her superior forcefully dragged her into the nearest building. "...Finished."

There they waited until the waves of death ceased, and Aveil declared the all-clear. Nerav sighed and, now that the danger had passed, looked down at the scroll she hadn't been able to read.

    "Oh goddess f—"

"With no ranged attacks, the Gerudo would quickly take cover inside of their fortress, at least until the opposing force breaches the walls, minimizing their losses," the War Master commented, sipping on a bubble tea. "Of course, the attackers retreated before the fight could get really bloody, but Aveil managed to take out at least some of the enemy units as they got close. After all, what are heroes for if not acts of bold heroism?"
