gamersplash.com/2017/03/21/bre…y-ran-at-60fps-on-switch/ According to this BOTW framerate issues are due to poor optimization and programming errors rather than the system's power. This would mean they could be resolved via patch as opposed to having to release upgraded hardware. Apparently they also have a fix for Joycon interference. nintendoeverything.com/nintend…ssue-by-adding-some-foam/

Bloodstained for WiiU has been dropped and it is now coming for the Switch.

I need basic talking points against the Switch. My friend is stubborn and I need fool proof ways to shut him up. He keeps comparing it to the Wii U, which I say is like comparing the PS3 to the PS2. Bullet point flaws and I will do my own research on the bullets. Please and thank you.

I'm pretty sure there has been plenty of points against the switch provided and if you do a quick google search with Switch flaws, you'll likely find all the info you need.

The WiiU looks like a toy. The Switch looks cooler.
The Switch is more versatile than any game system has ever been. It's like if Sony had packed the PS3 AND Vita together, and then you only had to buy one set of games for it.
EDIT: oops you said against the Switch. I don't have those. -

Not overly sure what you are trying to convince your friend but I mean you can easily google the Switch and find all the info you need for whatever argument you are trying to make.

Well, he isn't completely wrong. It terms of what it is trying to do, it is far more innovative than either the Xbox or Playstation.
Yes, it is bares bones in terms of software/games at the moment, but it's ability to be able to play triple-A titles on the go is leagues ahead of what Microsoft and Sony have done in recent years.
As I stated before, yes, there are flaws with it, but certainly nothing worse then what has happened to previous consoles (RROD/YLOD, etc.).

For me, for example, it is the best console on the market. Sadly I don't really have the time anymore to sit down and play on say, a PS4. I can, however, play the Switch on the train, or I can pick it up whenever I have a spare 5 minutes.
It may not be the most powerful console around, but it doesn't have to be to be "the best on the market", as people's ideas of what "best" means vary a lot. For some it might be power, for others it might be how they can use it, for some it might be the games available, etc. -
Just tell him "best" is purely subjective. If I wanted to play The Last Of Us 2 then the Switch isn't the best console, is it? The PS4 would be, because it has the game I want to play on it! If I wanted to play Mario and Zelda then the Switch would be the best! The "best" differs depending on what you're looking for, it's completely subjective. If he can't understand that, then I don't think you can bring out ANY arguments to convince him otherwise. :3

News flash: Nintendo's systems aren't as strong as the Sony and Microsoft consoles. Stop dreaming about it and just enjoy the Switch as it is.
Nintendo's press release says that the percentage of defect hardware is just as high as with previous systems. And they're offering to repair any defects. A lot of fuzz about nothing.

If power vs cost was to high right now but going to really be better in only like a year then Nintendo should have just wanted and had switch come out next year.

If they had also done more price cuts and bundles on the wii u it could have also sold at least a little bit more.
