  • A Fear of Heaven

    Post

...yeah, I guess you're right. Two-person debates just make me nervous due to the frequency at which they derail threads. You say it is undesirable, but would you say that hell is better or worse? Is it better to burn or live with the pain of a perfect society devoid of entertainment? Although there have been accounts of people seeing visions of their dead relatives, who always said "I don't want to come back. Everything here is perfect." One such case is known with Angus Bruch(? I don't quite k…

He's probably mad because it's giving communism such a negative tone. It is the perfect economic system, after all. It's the ☭☭☭☭ing people who grow power-hungry and screw it up. Anyways, while I think it is funny, you do need to change it. Some people do appreciate the communist system, and you can't go around trampling that.

Quote from CookieConjurer: “1. Tool read Nietzsche. And then stole his idea of the joy of tragedy. 2. Why get so fixated on death and dying? You have no idea what happens after it. You can't. No one can. All you know you have is this life right here, so take it. Pluck the day, as Horace says, for tomorrow you might die.” 1. Really? I'll have to look him up. Any particular books he wrote or something? 2. I typically try not to worry. The only time I do worry is at night, when there's nothing else…

  • A Fear of Heaven

Justin ZW - - Serious Discussion

    Post

This has been weighing on my mind for quite a long time. I know it sounds UNBELIEVABLY ridiculous, but I have a fear of heaven. I'm mostly afraid because I can't comprehend it. Also, people always say that heaven is where you worship God for all eternity. Really? Is that really it? In addition to this, the thought of a "perfect" place is quite scary. If the world were perfect, there would be no...excitement. Allow me to quote Tool: Quote from Tool-'Vicarious': “Cause I need to watch things die F…

  • Quote from mmmmm_PIE: “The least troubling way to look at it is to realize that beliefs are ultimately within people, not buildings. Making broad generalization over a group of a billion human beings is dangerous and pointless stereotyping - no matter what creed the profess to. Better to just know what you believe.” This is pretty much what I do. My youth group/church, known as APEX, is nondenominational, and is actually a group that is meant to lead people who didn't grow up in church or who st…

  • Quote from Devia Erasmus: “It's ironic that Catholicism tends to get a bad rep for generating a lot of guilt after having just read your post.” Wait...what? Quote from Devia Erasmus: “Consider how many saints there are to prey too. Is it not like a buffet of mini-deities that you can choose from in order to pray to for guidance? Statistics show that praying Catholics are more likely to pray to a saint figure or Mary rather than Jesus, whom the religion is supposed to be focused around. (for sour…

  • I grew up in a very Catholic family. We always went to mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation. I even went to a Catholic school. However, I drifted away from the Catholic church because I was not finding anything there for me. It was stagnant; I wasn't advancing in my faith, and I felt an absence of God. Recently, I began going to a youth group which is an equivalent to church. That is, we worship God through song and prayer, the youth pastor talks to us about a particular Bible story, and …

  • Quote from Tyras: “Who's bashing you? taking up a contrary position isn't being spiteful. it's debating properly.” I don't mind that, but if you look at how most people respond, you'll see that it is full of nothing but spite and hate. If I were to say that I like apples and someone would responded with "I like oranges instead of apples because I find apples to be too bland," then that would actually make me think that maybe oranges do have more flavor, and I would be inclined to compare the two…

  • To everyone bashing me: I'm much less inclined to listen to you when you are being spiteful, argumentative, cynical, and generally negative. If you're going to scream at me and mock me, I will NEVER listen to you. If you could actually respond in a civil manner, I might consider your opinion. Just putting that out there.

  • How do Gerudos reproduce?

    Justin ZW - - Theorizing

    Post

I forgot to mention my thoughts about the purity of the Gerudo bloodline. If the sleep with Hylians, the bloodline will not be purely Gerudo. That's why I wonder about the King's birth. (The man born to the Gerudo) In times before the Earth flooded (there is evidence in every culture that the earth truly flooded,) people would live for several hundred years. Scholars also believe that humans didn't eat meat then, but that's another story. Perhaps Hyrule implies this same policy, and the people l…

  • How do Gerudos reproduce?

    Justin ZW - - Theorizing

    Post

In OoT, a man is born every one hundred years to the Gerudo. However, this man is not going to be around long enough to frantalize with the women for the next man's birth. How exactly do they birth their children? Do they sleep with random Hylians, as is evidenced by the gossip stones which say "It is said that the Gerudos often come to Hyrule market to look for boyfriends?" Discuss.

  • Quote from Mandrag: “Yes. The real world, by and large, is quite deprived of time travel and fairies and magic and monsters and sentient plants.” I want to make love to this post. It isn't real. Just chill, guys. They didn't think about ANY of this when they made it.

  • Quote from John: “Obama isn't socialist. In any political system in the world, save the US one, he'd be considered far to the right. Which won't happen. Read the bill. Seriously. I'm sure you're aware that medical insurance companies do that right now, yes? They refuse to cover the sick or elderly due to the odds of them actually needing treatment. Obama's plan continues to treat them for their whole life. I'm Canadian. I shouldn't know more about American laws than you. Please do some basic res…

  • Quote from Chad: “It should be enough time to show imporvement. To show that he knows what he's doing. All I've been hearing is that he's bailing out companies that should die, and pumping out billions and billions of dollars. Why should we wait four or five years before we start developing an opinion of what he's doing?” Finally, someone who understands. When you bail out companies that are dying when we're ALREADY in BILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF BLEEDING DEFECIT, you clearly have no idea what you ar…

  • Is it just me, or do politicians get away with FAR more than they should? Just look at Obama. He promises to better the country with a decent healthcare reform, and now he's trying to SOCIALIZE US. He misled voters, and now he's lying about the national health care and saying that he's not going to "Pull the plug on grandma because she's too old." That's a lie, and I pity the man who believes it. And if he was truly "reforming" healthcare, he would allow people to purchase private healthcare. Wi…

Why hasn't this man been arrested yet? how does the 2nd amendment even apply to this situation? and 2. Is this a sign that these health care protests are starting to get out of hand? This also leads me to wonder why everyone is getting so angry about this now. Obama said from day one that health care reform was part of his agenda, and everyone was just fine with it. this isn't exa…

My guilty pleasure? Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness. That game was so bad, I had to make my dog take a dump on my carpet just to get the smell out. Yet I still crack it out and play it every few years. Why? I don't know.

  • ****. Always trying to kill the consumers, aren't they?

  • If anyone believes that artists and game companies don't need money, you are sadly mistaken. Situation: Hey, guys! We made our first album! It cost 300,000 to make after all the costs were tallied, and the company takes a 30% cut of sales. Do you realize how much they have to sell just to break even? A lot. The total production costs are huge, and the artist has to pay back the company that covered the costs. They need that money.

  • How is Link able to keep certain items when he travels back to day 1 in MM? Shouldn't he lose everything since he's rewinding time?

  • What would I care? So they won't be able to have kids. Big deal. And if I really wanted grandkids, I'd make another child with my wife. However, I'd still love and respect my homosexual child. You do not choose to be one, anyway. I thought I was gay, but when I tried having a gay experience, I discovered that I'm straight. Man, was that awkward...

Quote from Beemnorv: “Well, Ganon is also dead after ALttP. Also, Twinrova is dead in the AT, so how would they be there to resurrect Ganon in OoX?” Perhaps they were resurrected? Ganon did it billions of times on his own.

  • My first time(line)

In that case, I would place OoX on the AT. Yes, separate from LA. I would place it last on the AT, to meet those requirements.

Okay. So then how do you know the OoX are after LA? Did they ever confirm that or is it just generally thought to be true? And I'd edit the timeline, but...again, ZU mobile=no edit button. But I believe the ALttP/LA connection. I'm going to read my manual when I get home.

  • Heeey...the name of the saloon was changed! They took my idea! (search posts for clanetary and you'll see that I made it up

  • Farore, probably. It's the best place to be, anyway, and you don't have to take spam as seriously. Also, clans are generally quieter. But I would settle for general Zelda, even though it's hell.

  • Quadraxis? Best? I don't know about that... He was more annoying than fun. But the worst was the Dark Torvus boss. If I'm correct, he had two or three forms, and was very time consuming. An upside to Prime 1 is the beam combos. They were very useful if you knew how to use them. The wavebuster was all I used on wave troopers! By the way, has anyone else noticed that the space pirates look different in every game? In Echoes, they actually looked like black, slightly altered versions of Trace from …

  • Yeah, the key hunt was lame. And the fact that you didn't get the light suit until the end bothered me. I would have preferred that you got it after...say...Torvus. By the way, the battle for the gravity boost? ANNOYING! ALSO, I wish you got the annihilator beam earlier. They make you wait too long for the good abilities!

  • Good reasoning here. Prime 1 actually took several playthroughs to scan everything. I always missed Hive Mecha (scan point is underwater) and aqua drone (looks like a regular drone.) Also, the ram and barbed war wasps appear ONCE! NEVER AGAIN! You know, I actually would rate Corruption's ending as the best. Spoiler coming! (Hidden Content)
