Today is a momentous day, as it marks Link’s first ever visit to the frantic, fun-filled world of Mario Kart! The first DLC pack for Mario Kart 8 is now available, so you can now go tear the corners of Rainbow Road with our Hylian hero and his “Master Cycle”.
The pack also includes Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach, as well as eight new tracks including the awesome new Hyrule Castle track. There are four new vehicles, including Link’s bike and an F-Zero-themed car.
The download “requires at least 1 GB of free space on your Wii U”, and costs $7.99. If you love Mario Kart even half as much as the Zelda Universe team do and can’t get enough, then you may be interested in both DLC packs — in which case, you can net yourself both in one bundle for just $11.99. Pack 2 will release in May 2015.
