2.0Getting to the Labyrinth

From the start screen, head right four screens, up two screens, right two screens, up one screen, left one screen, and up the stairs to find the next labyrinth of the game — the Moon.

Do you have Bombs?
You need Bombs to complete Moon Labyrinth. You can find some Bombs inside the dungeon, but it’s a good idea to bring some with you. You may have already received some Bombs by defeating enemies, but you can also purchase them in shops.

2.1The Compass and Map

From the entrance room, you come across two unlocked doors–one in the north and one to the east. For now, enter the north door to enter a room with five Ropes (get used to seeing these guys–they’re everywhere in this labrynth).. They’re rather easy to kill, since they’ll move slowly until they come into a direct line with you and then barrel straight towards you. Kill them all to open the left door.

Get used to seeing these guys. You'll be fighting a lot of Ropes in this dungeon.

Enter this room to find six more Ropes. Kill all of them in here to make a key appear. Snag it, and then backtrack to the entrance of the labyrinth  and enter the eastern door.

This room has…guess what? MORE ROPES! Five of them. Kill all of them for another key, and then head north to the next room where you find three more Ropes. You don’t have to kill these ones thankfully, so unlock the eastern door with one of your keys and enter the room.

In here you’ll find six Gels and Compass. Again, you don’t need to kill these things. Just grab the compass and backtrack to the previous room.

Shortcut: Save one key!
After you pick up the Compass, place a bomb on the north wall to open a shortcut to the room that contains the Map. This will allow you to save one key. Remember, keys are not dungeon-specific in this game, so you can take this key with you to help in a different dungeon!

Now that we’re back in the previous room, enter the door in the north to find five Goriyas. None of them need to be killed unless you need rupees, so just use a key to unlock the door on the right and waltz right in.

In this room you’ll find five Gels and the Map. You don’t need to kill them, so just grab the map and exit the room.

2.2The Magical Boomerang

Head up through the north door to enter a room with five Ropes. The door will close behind you. Killing all the ropes here will unlock the door and make a key appear. Grab it and head into the eastern room.

Blue Goriya are stronger than the Red Goriya you met previously. The same is true of other enemies with blue and red variants: blue is always stronger.

The next room have three Blue Goriyas (which are just stronger variants) and four Stone Statues what will shoot beams at you. Avoid the Statue beams and kill all the Goriyas to make the Magical Boomerang appear. Pick it up, and then exit the room and head north.

You’ll come across a Moldorm in this room. These guys aren’t too tough–just slash at its body until it’s gone to make a key appear, then grab it and head right.

Here, avoid the Blade Traps and kill the four Keese here to get some Bombs. Leave the room and and enter the north door.

You need Bombs to defeat the boss. Pick up these extras, and don't waste them!

There are eight Ropes in this next room. Kill them all to unlock the upper door. If you want some extra rupees, you can enter the room to the right and kill all the Gels, but otherwise, just head north.

This room has five Goriyas here. There’s also not a lot of walking space. You’re gonna have to be very careful avoiding the boomerangs they throw. Kill all of them to unlock the door to the north. Some Bombs appear as well that you may want to pick up as well.

2.3Boss: Dodongo

Head through the door to encounter the boss of the labyrinth, Dodongo. Dodongo cannot attack you aside from walking into you. There are two ways to defeat Dodongo. The traditional way is to drop a Bomb in its mouth. Dodongo will be defeated after swallowing two Bombs.

The second method is to drop a Bomb near Dodongo so that the smoke is touching Dodongo when the Bomb explodes. As soon as the Bomb explodes, stab Dodongo with your Sword to defeat it.

After Dodongo is defeated, grab the Heart Container it leaves behind and head left to grab another shard of the Triforce of Wisdom.
