I guess what everybody is mostly peeved about is the fact that you won't be able to explore the open world (which is on land) on foot, considering ALL of the other
LoZ games that takes place on land Link was able to walk on Hyrule soil (so basically, people would have liked it if the Train acted more like Epona). The way I see it,
ST's Hyrule is soo big that it needs a train for it to travel in the best matter. If Link traveled just on foot then it would take the player 3 times as long just to get to the next destination.
Now I personally believe that this
ST Hyrule is the same as the one shown in
tMC,
FS, and
FSA, and all of those Links had a fine time exploring Hyrule. Although this is true, I think that
ST Hyrule just hasn't developed as much as those games when it comes to the population and the amount of villages/towns/etc.
Plus, when you get down to the nitty gritty, who really wants to play a game with the exact same locations as previous titles? That's why
TP wasn't held on a high accord as
OoT, and
FSA didn't hold a light to
ALttP. They had very similar locations, and that's why it didn't feel so original when you know what's going to be around the corner.
