On a surprise event for both viewers and Jimmy Fallon alike, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was showcased at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Reggie Fils-aime was present to present a demo of Nintendo’s first mobile game, Super Mario Run, with Shigeru Miyamoto himself present in the audience, and after Fallon got to play through a demo of the game, Fils-aime surprised him by giving him a chance to play the newest iteration in the Zelda series on the Nintendo Switch.
Fallon, a known Nintendo fan, was left speechless, yet very eager to get the chance to control Link through the desolated Hyrule field that has many questioning why it remains in that state. We didn’t get to see much that wasn’t already known from the game, but what we did get to see was the first appearance of the game on the newest Nintendo console. During E3 and the Game Awards, it was played on the Wii U, but this tiny glimpse let fans see how the game looks when you take the console on the go, with many praising the good frame-rate despite being apart from the docking station. You can watch the video below, so that you can once again board the hype train for the 3rd time this year.
