The NX rumor mill shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. In fact, it appears to be picking up speed with every day that goes by without an announcement from Nintendo. One of the latest rumors claims Foxconn Electronics, alongside Pegatron, have begun trial production runs for the mysterious console.

Sources speaking to DigiTimes claim that the initial annual production of the NX is aimed for nine to ten million units. The trial run is supposedly beginning alongside the production of Sony’s upcoming Playstation 4 Pro console. Barring any major setbacks this means the NX is still pegged for its March release, despite fan fears it may be delayed.

It’s easy to compare the silence surrounding the NX with the long drought of information about Breath of the Wild before its last delay. Fortunately, this rumor sheds plenty of hope for an on-time launch. Whether the reveal will come in the form of a Direct or not no one knows, but in all likelihood we’ll know more about the NX before too long.
