Good morning fellow Zelda fans, and welcome to another edition of Music Monday. To set your week off on the right foot, I’ve chosen Makar’s prayer song from the Wind Waker. I know that every time I hear this song, I feel like just jamming along on whatever instrument I can find. Maybe it’s because I’m Irish. Have a listen below and see if you can stop yourself from tapping along!

Composed by Hajime Wakai, Koji Kondo, Kenta Nagata and Toru Minegishi, the song captures the festive and jovial nature of both the Kokiri and Korok tribes. The theme is very similar to traditional Celtic folk music, many of which featured fiddles like the one Makar uses.

If that wasn’t enough, then checkout the 10 minute(!) loop of Makar’s Prayer here.

I’m Irish and I always play Wind Waker around St Patrick’s Day because of that Celtic music. 🙂
