The Nintendo Wii U has hit a sales milestone in Japan, finally reaching 3 million sold at the end of 2015. Unfortunately, comparing that number at this stage in the consoles life cycle to those that the Nintendo Wii achieved in the same amount of time leave much to be desired.

The Nintendo Wii had sold just under 10 million consoles in Japan by the end of 2009, while the Wii U has now sold over 10 million worldwide. While hitting 3 million sold in Japan is great news for Nintendo, certainly the company is looking to repeat the numbers of the Wii, and not the Wii U, with their upcoming NX console.

Is that a Maison Ikoku reference?

To answer your question: this is my current wallet. I’ve had four or five wallets in the last 16 years, and this card has been in every one of them. 🙂
