With Iwata’s passing still fresh on our minds, fans are trying to honor him in every way possible. The latest idea they have come up with is a homage in the next Zelda game for Wii U. A petition has been created on Change.org to “immortalize his legacy” in the next Zelda game, and has already garnered over 3,000 signatures, more than half of their initial goal of 5,000.

Head on over to this page if you want to sign the petition that will hopefully honor Iwata’s legacy and give him the tribute he deserves for all the great work he has done for Nintendo.

This exact same thing happened with Robin Williams did it not? I’d personally not want my family or friends to be immortalized in a video game, but then again I’m not Iwata’s family or friends.

Considering Iwata’s legacy is within gaming, it only makes sense to immortalize him in it.

Yes.. except Robin Williams has 0% to do with the Zelda franchise

He did advertise it and he named his daughter after it, and that doesn’t change my point, my point was, fans tried the same thing, I didn’t want it then and I don’t want it now, and I don’t think Nintendo has changed their mind either.

My point is that it’s not the same thing, no matter how much you want it to be.
