If you’ve been keeping up with the state of the forums here on Zelda Universe, you know that we’re working hard to bring things back online as soon as possible. In the meantime, we’ve set up a temporary spot where everyone can hang out. We chose a public Facebook group for this since it’s quick, simple, can handle a ton of people, and doesn’t require you to register. The ZU Forums Facebook group will exist until we’ve gotten the forums back online.

Head to the Zelda Universe Forums Facebook group by clicking here. We’ll see you there!

    “doesn’t require you to register”
False, it requires you to have a Facebook account, which I don’t. so I’ll pass.

    • Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. But I’m glad for those that benefit from it, as if nothing else, we should have fewer complaining comments.

    • We know that not everybody has a Facebook account. However, since the vast majority of people are registered on Facebook, putting our temporary community there has the functional equivalent of not needing to register. We weighed Facebook against several other options, none of which were nearly as convenient or user-friendly.

At the end of the day, we can’t make EVERYONE happy, and there was no universal solution to this problem. Luckily, this is only temporary – and we remain focused primarily on restoring the actual forums!

Is it really going to be that long that we have to have a temporary facebook page? 🙁

  • MJ

I’ll just wait for the forums to return 🙂

How different will the new forums look? I can’t image they’ll be all too different but everything behind the scenes will likely have changed. As long as I can register the forum with an app like tap-talk I’ll be happy.

  • But when is the frontpage getting redesigned? This whole web 2.0 thing is kind of annoying. I think it was better when it was blog-styled.

I would prefer an IRC chat personally, it doesn’t require you to register at all, and it takes very little time to set up.
