Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, or Skyward Sword? That was the question on gamers’ minds as they prepared to pre-order Hyrule Warriors. Fans who pre-ordered the game were given a DLC pack with costumes from either Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, or Skyward Sword. However, each set was exclusive to a specific retailer.

Unless one pre-ordered the game from three different stores, there was no way to get all of the costume sets. Well that’s about to change. Coming this month, gamers in Japan will have the option to buy each of the DLC packs that were previously only available as a pre-order bonus.

The costume sets are bundled by character, rather than by game like in the original promotion. Both the Link and Zelda sets cost 400 Yen and contain three skins each, while the Ganondorf DLC only includes two costumes, costing 300 Yen.

According to Nintendo, all of the pre-order DLC will be become available in the near future, but no official date has been made.

The Ocarina costumes are cool, but I’m really looking forward to the day I can download the Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword costumes.

This is such a great game I find myself playing it more and more while smash sits on the shelf. I hope they will pull more costumes for all characters but I’m wishing for TP’S Zora armor and a fierce diety costume and weapon, there is so much content they can throw in. How about WW stuff would love to run around and destroy mobs as Tetra and Took link man the lol would be off the chart.

I know right, the game is amazing, I mean smash is just when you are with a great group of friends sitting in the couch and beating each other. This game you can play for hundreds hours and people say is more fun with friends.

Same lol. I had to put the game away so I could get back to work lol. Smash on the other hand, although great, isn’t interesting me as much as HW.

I kinda wish they’d make the costumes higher quality… OoT Link’s hat & hair look like they were ripped straight out of the 3DS version. & TP Link’s textures look low res compared to the rest of them.

Something to note, though: In Japan, the sets were released by Character.
This grouping doesn’t mean we’ll get the same sets outside Japan.

The preorder bonuses with the Japanese release were the “power,” “wisdom,” and “courage” sets – I shouldn’t have to tell you who was in which. xP
It was the non-Japanese releases that broke them apart into sets of two, based on game, for Link and Zelda, while making the Ganondorf set a Club Nintendo bonus.

Basically, when it comes out for US/other regions, expect it to follow the game-set breakdown for Link and Zelda.
This will mean we get 4 separate sets, instead of 3, but it’ll more than likely be made cheaper.
I’m just curious if there will be any discount-reward for those of us who DID preorder, and DID get the Ganondorf set while available.
Will we be rewarded for early adoption/preorder?
Either way, just hurry up and give them to us, damn it! I need the other sets!!
