In the latest Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed that the Link Amiibo will unlock a special weapon in Hyrule Warriors: the Spinner. Now, Koei Tecmo has revealed that the Princess Zelda Amiibo will also unlock an additional weapon in the game, although what exactly the weapon is has not yet been disclosed. It seems that we will have to wait until the second batch of Amiibos are released, as the Zelda figure is not among those going on sale November 21.

As Link’s weapon, the Spinner, is related to him and his appearance in Twilight Princess, it is a safe bet that the weapon that Princess Zelda’s Amiibo unlocks is also related to her and her various appearances throughout the Zelda series.

They need a Cia Amiibo, so we can oogl…. I mean, admire the fine craftsmanship.

Unlocks costumes for all characters with similar proportions to Cia

Why did you make me think of this

      • Jason

Oh come on… You should be thanking me. 😀

Well, I would like a Sheik Amiibo and a Midna one, although I don’t know if they’re going to do a Midna Amiibo, since it would only work with HW, meaning that it wouldn’t make sense to create her Amiibo, since it would be soon out of use, different from the other ones.

Maybe Zelda will be able to shoot powerful Light Arrows more often, and faster.

  • MajoraGodofChaos

I think it’ll likely be the Goddess Spells, since that’s what Zelda uses in Smash. Or are they already somewhere in the game?

    • Ryan Haynes

It’s what she uses as the Special Attack during Focus Spirit.

  • YamadaDesigns

What if her weapon was the Phantom armor? That’d be awesomesauce!

I honestly don’t want to buy multiple amiibos to unlock new weapons and stuff, hopefully there is a way to unlock these items from the adventure map.

It seems that they are indeed Amiibo-specific. Though Link and Zelda are the only characters with all-new weapons tied to Amiibos at this point. It’s possible that Sheik and Ganondorf will also get such weapons down the line when their Amiibos are released.

You only need to use the Amiibo once to unlock it. So you could simply use one of a friend who does have Link or Zelda and you’re set.

      • CEObrainz

That’s the idea, although finding a friend with a Link or Zelda amiibo isn’t easy, especially if they share similar views to me.

she isn’t getting a secret weapon. This story needs to be updated.
