Halloween is here, and what better way to celebrate the season than by showing off some of these Zelda-inspired pumpkins? I thoroughly searched through Reddit and DeviantArt to find some of my favorite carvings of the year.
First up, we have DeviantArt user Draug419 who created these two amazing works of art based on Four Swords and A Link Between Worlds. That Four Swords Link has to be my favorite design I have seen so far — the motion of the sword came out perfect.
Here’s the A Link Between Worlds carving; it seems Link has the ability to merge against pumpkins as well as walls.
Redditor Atonement-v carved the Majoras Mask from the Nintendo 64 classic of the same name, as well as the three main transformation masks. The artist also provides a step-by-step process on how the carvings were made. I love that they went with carving the transformation process, as it looks much creepier that way. The Zora pumpkin is spot on! I can’t wait to see someone attempt to carve the Fierce Deity mask.
Redditor u/c08855c49 carved an amazing depiction of Trinexx from A Link to the Past. The candles in the back were a nice touch. This one is one of my favorites this year simply because of how unique the idea is. I’ve seen dozens of Links and Zeldas, but seeing the boss of Turtle Rock in pumpkin form is a first!
Another one of my favorites comes from Redditor scrumptiousscott, who carved the Moon from Majora’s Mask. This one is just as creepy as the real thing.
Redditor dgkidd407 carved the Royal Crest. Place this pumpkin outside of your home to display your loyalty to the Royal Family.
These are just a few of some of the amazing pumpkins I have seen this year. I wish I had the skill or even patience to create something like these! If you have any Zelda-Inspired pumpkin carvings, we would love to see them. Also, check out some of our favorite carvings from last year.
