Nintendo announced the launch date for Smash Bros. for Wii U: November 21 is when the console smashing begins! Keep in mind, the first region to receive the title will be North America, with the European release following closely behind on December 5. Though there had been teases to a release date in previous weeks, many fans had become a little worried as there had been no official release date for the huge title, and the holidays coming up so soon. Now, there is reassurance.
In addition to an official release date for the title, a second round of Amiibos was revealed, along with a December 19 release date. The new Amiibos consist of Zelda, Pit, Diddy Kong, Captain Falcon, Luigi, and Little Mac.
As if that weren’t enough, gamers can also select to purchase the Smash Bros. for Wii U bundle, which includes a copy of the game, the GameCube controller adaptor, and one GameCube controller.
Hindsight, is of course 20/20, but this release date makes sense with recent events that have been announced: Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric getting an early North American release date, and Watch_Dogs releasing within days of Smash Bros. for Wii U, most likely aiming to sell the game alongside Smash Bros. in any type Black Friday deals.
This is quite the information overload, but it’s definitely the good type of overload, so now you can prepare to get your Smash on!
