With perhaps a nostalgic nod to the alternative Game Boy Color designs, Nintendo will release a new look for the 2DS along with the release of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. According to Destructoid, they will arrive in red and blue and will be entirely transparent, giving users a look into the inner workings of the console.
As of right now, the new addition to the 2DS line will be available in the UK only. It will be released on its own November 7, with the bundle being pushed out a few weeks later on November 28. The respective Pokémon game will come pre-installed on the device’s SD card.
No word yet on whether or not Nintendo plans to release these models worldwide, but they certainly look to attract a younger generation to the Pokémon classics.
