While Hyrule Warriors has been critically praised in Japan by publications like Famitsu, the game seems to be struggling a little on the technical side. Many players have flocked to Twitter to report a number of glitches they’ve experienced.

Among the issues were freezing on the results screen, title screen and during co-op; while some players reported that the frame rate dropped by half its normal rate at times. The good news is that developer Tecmo Koei is working on an update for the game in order to fix these issues, according to a recent tweet. With another month to go before the international releases, hopefully the patch will be pre-installed on the disc.

More excitingly, Siliconera‘s translation of the tweet also says, “In order to have you folks enjoy it for longer, we’re currently planning long-term updates and a large-scale mode expansion.” Sounds as though we can expect some DLC somewhere down the line — and “large-scale expansion” sounds like we could expect something significant.

Goody, more Hyrule Warriors to enjoy..hopefully it’ll also make Cia, Valga, and Wizro playable since they don’t seem to be.
