Last year, a team of Zelda fans gave us a stunning look at what Majora’s Mask could look like if remade for the Wii U. The minds behind the project are Pablo Belmonte and Paco Martinez, who have more to show yet.

The team recently released a “Work in Progress” video that shows a behind-the-scenes look at their project. The video includes an examination of several 3D models, including Deku Link, the Happy Mask Salesman, Odolwa and Gyorg. You can also see the remade environment of the area inside the Clock Tower.

Their YouTube channel makes it clear that this is not a movie or a game, and won’t be released to the public. It is a fan-made proposition, and the team plans to take their project to Nintendo to encourage them to remake Majora’s Mask.

Regardless of what happens with the project, however, the detail crafted into the job is truly stunning. Watch the video below to see what I’m talking about.

Absolutely stunning! I wish I had the patience for 3D modeling and animating. I will never cease to be amazed by what people can do with computer modeling software, or traditional modeling for that matter.
