In this week’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed that there will be bonus downloadable content for those who pre-order Hyrule Warriors. Now, two outlets have announced their participation in this deal.

If you pre-order from Amazon Canada, you will “receive a code to download exclusive Twilight Princess costumes for Link and Zelda.” The code for the DLC will be sent via email “two days after the game ships”, and there is a limit of one code per household. The game is priced at C$64.99.

Next, GameStop are offering the Ocarina of Time-themed costumes for Link and Zelda “while supplies last”. Online customers “will be emailed within 2 business days after your order”, while in-store customers will have the code printed on a receipt. GameStop are selling Hyrule Warriors for $59.99.

Both the Twilight Princess and Ocarina costume packs are exclusive to their respective retailers. With this and the Ganondorf DLC only redeemable for a limited time, it’s rather unfortunate that all of these costumes seem so disposable. Currently, it seems you’d have to pre-order the game from both retailers if you wanted the complete set. Hopefully there will be other means of obtaining these packs at some point, perhaps via the eShop.

As a reminder, to receive the Ganondorf costumes, you must redeem a free download code bundled with the game on Club Nintendo before October 23. We have yet to hear how the Skyward Sword costume pack will be supplied, and we have heard nothing yet of how any of the downloadable costumes will be distributed in Europe. Stay tuned for updates!

Why not put all outfits at all stores!?

  • Shawn Taylor

I just hope they are made available for purchase via the eShop at some point.

I guarantee they will all be available for purchase – this is just exclusive as a FREE BONUS. The club nintendo ganondorf offer is to encourage early adoption, and will be available for purchase, too.
Trust me, if you’re not a fan of the Warriors games, just look at the eShop page for Warriors Orochi 3 DLC and your mind will be set at ease. There will be PLENTY of DLC. New challenges, stages, costumes, weapons, music… you’re likely going to get the chance to spend a good 60 dollars or more, just on Hyrule Warriors DLC.
