Lana has quite the personality. One minute her cute demeanor is shining through like the bright sun on the canopy of Faron Woods, and the next she is laying ruin to her foes left and right without any remorse. That about sums up Lana’s approach to battle in her newest Hyrule Warriors trailer, featuring her with an all-new weapon: the spear.

While more a Deku Stick than a spear, the weapon has quite the batting potential, knocking Bulbins aside and beating others into oblivion. The spear seems to be enchanted with water or ice magic as well, and enemies from afar aren’t safe from Lana’s wrath.

Lana’s tie to the forest goes beyond her use of the spear, however. Several times she summons Deku Tree Sprouts to do her bidding for her. At first they fire a barrage of Deku Seed bullets into advancing armies, but giant Deku Nuts can also stun monsters and blast them aside. Lana even rides a Deku Sprout into battle at the end of the trailer, bouncing high and landing hard.

Wind Waker‘s Deku Leaf makes an appearance too, and with its gusts of wind, Lana blows away any enemies that get too close. She can take to the air with the leaf, soaring above the battle and swooping in with a surprise attack. At the end of the video, Lana wields a Deku Shield, as if her ties to the Deku weren’t clear enough yet.

You can see all this action in the trailer below. You can also catch Lana’s mastery of magic in her last trailer, featuring her Book of Spells.
