At the end of last May, the high-profile Zelda series fan Zelda Williams hinted that she would be involved in something “extra special” at this year’s E3. Turns out, that special something turned out to be her participating in Tuesday’s Smash Invitational. Williams was a participant in the celebrity match, where she used Smash Bros. newcomer Greninja. Other competitors included Keegan Allen (Pretty Little Liars), Steven Lunsford (Teen Wolf), and Erin Sanders (Zoey 101).

From Williams’ Twitter page:

An interesting thing to note is the replica of Majora’s Mask that Williams showed off while on the big stage in the Nokia Theater. Williams, along with many fans of Majora’s Mask, support the idea of a remake for the N64 title. The demand has increased since the success of the 3DS remake of Ocarina of Time back in 2011.

Nintendo has yet to make an announcement for the next big 2014 title for the 3DS during the week. So what do you think? Could the big announcement at the 3DS roundtable be a remake of the N64 classic, or does Nintendo have their eye on something else entirely?

I’m thinking it could be Metroid 3DS. Its been a while since we got a Metroid game. We just got a new Zelda game for the 3DS not long ago.

Alas, it was neither. Just some retarded strategy game. I was dumbfounded, since Zelda WIlliams even brought a Majora’s Mask on stage. Maybe a future Nintendo Direct?
