The Zelda series has a storied and colorful history. The original game in particular contains tons of secrets and hidden goodies, and a lot of trivia exists surrounding the game’s development. If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about the original game, you’re in luck. Gamma Squad compiled a listĀ of 20 interesting facts about The Legend of Zelda, some of which you may not know about. I’m sure we all know some or many intriguing details about the first game, but how many of these facts do you know? Did any of them surprise you? I knew a good bit of facts listed, but some of them were quite surprising and even a bit obscure (who would’ve though that the Zelda series started out as a dungeon building simulator)!     That was a good read, I found out about the microphone controller from watching an episode of the AVGN. It’s astounding to see Nintendo putting so much innovation from the very beginning.

    Eh… a lot of this is pretty common knowledge… some of it is kind of generalized…. which I’m not a big fan of… The second quest wasn’t a programming error either and while they did talk about the futuristic zelda, it wasn’t for the original game, it was for Alttp. I’m pretty sure anywho

      According to Hyrule Historia it was originally for The Original game and they its sketches revealed they thought about revisiting the idea.
