When I had the joy of playing Pokemon X for the first time, reaching Lumiose City was the moment that truly blew my mind when it came to showcasing how advanced the graphics had become. It’s a huge, lively and colourful place that I’ll never get sick of visiting.

And now it looks like we get to experience it in another 3DS game. Following last week’s brand new Animal Crossing stage, the city is getting its own new stage in the handheld version of Super Smash Bros. 4.

Series director Masahiro Sakurai says on Miiverse:

“The Prism Tower rises above Lumiose City. Up until a few seconds ago, the fighters were brawling on top of that tower. No, really.”

Oh Sakurai, you tease.

I hope this game gets a Wii U bundle with it, that would help Nintendo immensely as I’m waiting for this specific game to buy a Wii U. Yes this is the one game that can get me to buy a Wii U, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other games I wanted to play on the Wii U but Smash Bros is the main reason I want one.

That looks really nice, but it’s a shame they won’t use that stage for the Wii U. I wonder what we’ll get instead.

  • Oh, yes… We might just get Mega Lucario after all.
